redletter hasn't been dumping to youtube in a while. Geek and sundry also seems spotty with youtube.

My guess is that youtube is starting to try to take a cut for hosting pro-am webstuff. Which is only fair, but is also going to price some enterprises out. I can't think the redletter guys are actually making any money -- at best I would think they're subsidizing space cop.

Jesus, that was amazing. Made me depressed. Depressed at how utter shit the prequels were. If only they would hire this guy to be some sort of creative director of the new films to make sure they're not fucking shit.

Well CGI has come pretty far since the last Star Wars prequel.

Stop motion animation, and large models really aren't needed anymore.

It really comes down to the artists and the production crew anyway. They have the tools now to make everything super realistic. If they fail on that it has nothing to do with CGI limitations.
have you seen paranorman?

3d printing has made stop motion 100x better and easier then it used to be. it should be used even MORE. CGI on top of stop motion would create amazing effects.

ps. Thor2 had some fantastic space battles, some real Starwars/masters of the universe stuff.

Hahaha, Eps 1-3 weren't at all about bad actors : Neeson / Portman / McGregor are talented fucks (Schindler's List, Leon, Trainspotting), main problem is Lucas here. While being a major lore creator / manager, the guy always had shitty film direction perks. He can't direct actors (lol both Neeson and McGregor), can't write (Anakin you're breaking my heart) and having hard times dealing with modern filmmaking (when you're actually directing people on stage). You loved Empire Strikes Back, SW iconic flick ? Well, he didn't direct it (Kirschner did).

Lucas is a shitty filmmaker. He's a hell of a lore writer and a franchise manager, but lacks anything else. SW1-3 were fully directed / written / produced by him. That's why 2000 years milestone movies are mostly about Lord Of The Rings, because no one cares about midichlorians, Jar-Jar and soap-opera drama. We care about story, acting and direction. No fucks are given upon who shots first, or if D2-R2 is well seen on that Tatooine rock set. If you enjoyed SW 1-3 it's bad and you should feel bad. If you need documentation you should readBiskind books.

Portman is a shit actor and her scenes in the movies were of the worst of the worst. In episodes 1-3, the good actors still looked good, but did so despite all else being bad.

I liked YouTube's BelatedMedia's version of the prequels.

Portman is beautiful, and I think at one point she was a good actor working with interesting scripts. And I think Phantom Meanness is where that trend ended and she decided she'd rather be disgustingly rich, beautiful, and famous rather than just somewhat rich, beautiful, and famous.

I think she's decent but has somewhat limited range. She's good at certain types of roles but otherwise is fairly meh. That said even top notch actors had some pretty bad shit happening during the prequels.

The dialogue in the original trilogy is just as bad as in the prequels.
