SO if all I'm doing is gaming, minor photoshop, and powerpoints what's the best processor to get? #1 priority is gaming at 4k. I currently have a 6700k overclocked to 4.5.

5600x - OC to 4.8 on air w/ Noctua more than likely.

The Dark Hero ASUS board apparently lets you OC the base core while keeping the boost enabled, kinda jelly i hate Asus now.

Holy fuck are those RGB cables coming from the power supply or is there something throwing light on them?

They are extensions - your PSU cables plug into them and they plug into the GPU and motherboard.

5800x has the highest $/core and a very marginal gaming performance over the 5600x. On the other hand it outperforms the 10900k at almost everything while using less power, for 150$ less. AMD knows it'll still sell out for a good while but yeah it should really be priced lower post release.

And the new consoles are true 8c/16t processors.
Running at 2Ghz. Expect pc games to somehow manage load and run on <16threads all the way to the next next gen. 4/6/maybe 8 thread cpus won't be as good through.

The 5800x is definitely 50-60 dollars overpriced at least, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't still buy one.

Nahh I looked it up and the xbox series x will run 3.8 with 2 cores and step down to 3.6 for more. So no, this shit wont be downclocked to 2ghz.

I guess I need to start looking to upgrade. I have an i5 9600K with 6 cores and no virtual shit. Runs shit good now, but who the fuck knows what will happen in future.

Might have been for the best that I did not score the 5900x, seems thats really not worth it for just gaming? Will keep an eye out for the 5600x I guess, any news on future stock?

I had a 5800x disappear from my cart during checkout, but managed to secure a 5600x. I was not happy at the time, but now....yeah i can live with it.

11 inch a bit big, going to drop it down to 9 so it doesn’t go beyond the metal of the riser. Plus that way when lifted the unifans can still be seen.

Would you like some PC with your fans?
If I didn’t wait on distro plate I could fit one more UniFan.

Mixing Ryzen Wraith and Thermaltake custom P8 setup. It will look better when it’s somewhat done. Considering Ekwb 3080FE isn’t shipping till December this may not be done till next year.

is that a LCD screen on the PSU face? What does it do? can you play super mario on it?

Its a mini IPS display that will be used to show diagnostics for temps, cpu/gpu speed, hopefully i can get flow rate integrated along with system wattage use. Its USB powered and plugs into the nzxt usb add in behind the case. Jay did a video on it recently.
