A game's rasterization has to be pretty damn basic to begin with like Minecraft to benefit much from Raytracing. Game companies aren't even trying for photorealism, not even RDR2, they actually go to great lengths to avoid accurate color fidelity and saturation in order to keep AAA games available for sale in China, which won't let them sell photorealistic shooters. So it strikes me as odd that Nvidia is touting ray tracing so hard when the one thing it's good for, accuracy, isn't even an industry goal for any big studio. And the RT cores even on a 3090 are woefully inadequate, so if the next gen has 5x the RT cores I guess it'll be worth using finally but there really isn't much being missed by having it disabled in most games. It's just comical how overblown Nvidia has made ray tracing, other than Minecraft to me it's virtually useless and easily forgetable.
