When do the xx70 models usally drop on the market after the initial relase? I'm thinking the 3080+ will be too much cash. 700 bucks is my limit, no way I'm shelling out more cash for a few more %'s.

The used market seems quite pricey as well if I look for high end cards right now.

Because xx70 cards use the same chips as the xx80 cards but have 1 cluster of cores disabled.

2k for a card? Need to see benchmarks, may have to wait till big Navi to avoid remorse.

Who was the 1600 RTX series aimed for? Checked comparison and its similar or worse than my 1070.

The GeForce 16 series isn't RTX branded.

It showed up in a couple of my commodity laptops I use for development, no idea on merit of the 1660Ti I'm using in my laptop vs another card.

How in the hell could they justify such a price point even for the "enthusiast" consumer? Are we just moving to a Methuselah style economy ala Takashi Kovacs?

The 3090 being at $2k isn't crazy, they currently sell the Titan RTX for $2499 and its the highest end 2080 line. The 3090 is basically the same, for most users the 3080, 3080ti, or 3070 will be at the price points that make more sense -- $500 to $1000 I'd guess?

Pretty sure they will push a 2k card until AMD forces them to lower prices and give buyers remorse to early adopters. That is ofcourse if AMD can manage something amazing.

The AMD Graphics card in development right now is suppose to be able to compete with the 3k series. Theyre saying it "could" actually be just as powerful as the top end card offered in the 3k series. They - as in, youtubers that have actual moles inside of amd AND nVidia.
