I really, really, really hate ebay and I'm kicking myself for not just keeping the damn thing. Thoughts on whether I accept the return and then return the FE to BB? or give this guy $250?

Get a video of the card w/ the same serial on it that IS scratched.

you can't say you never got it, since there is tracking eBay will side with the seller in that case since it'll show delivered and usually some form of signature (even indirect). You have to claim SNAD - Significantly Not As Described aka "the seller lied, yo!" - demand a refund, and then send back whatever the fuck you want as long as it weighs the same. You will probably never be able to do another chargeback on eBay but who cares if you got a free 3080, right?

Its a lesson every small time person learns, for me it was a hitman 2 steam key (LOL) i got free, i sold it for $20, a month later buyer did a chargeback claiming stolen account/credit card and I lost the $20 PLUS eBay charged me an additional $25 because I guess they eat that cost from a chargeback. Fucked in the ass and no lube all, was an eye opener in the literal sense.


Anyways Intel seems to be fired up after the latest AMD chipset, I tend to have doubt since the company seems to be completely lost and clueless

He sent a picture showing some scratches near the LCD thing. Were they there when I shipped it? Don't think so. It was pristine, in an anti static bag in 2 boxes with a shitload of packing and at least 10 passes of packing tape around the box. Is he lying, damage it himself, or pasted some scratches in with PS? Who knows. I sent him a partial refund because I'm going to be happy just never thinking about listing anything major on ebay ever again.

Are jews really scammers, though? It was kinda legal for a thousand years to just murder them on a whim, I'd expect that would somehow lead to honest business practices.

There’s a term in the states for someone trying to swindle down the money you are asking for, it’s even a verb. “Don’t let that guy Jew you down when you’re selling him your car.” I’m serious.
