Also sign up for Apple Pay on Newegg if you have one of their products. It is instant checkout/pay and was how I beat the bots. There’s no need to enter card info, address, name, etc with Apple Pay. It’s just thumbprint and done

Only 1 of my notifies ever came through, for a 3070 that I didn't end up wanting.

Pretty much the same, I had notifies for 3060/70/80s and got 2 for 3070s. Picked up the first one, and my card was in the middle of an RMA when I got the second 3070 notification and I didn't feel like tying up an extra $600 to finish the build that bad.

Replacement card supposed to arrive next Wednesday.

I snagged a 3090 from the EVGA sign ups after 2 weeks I signed up. I might have been one of the first to do that though and it was before they announced how sign ups were going to work.

Anybody have good benchmarks for AMD cards vs. nVidia equivalent? I'm willing to accept a shittier card just to fuck nVidia, but I'm trying to get a gauge of bang for my buck.

If you don't care about raytracing, AMD is better by every metric

What cards? for 6800XT v 3080, ignoring ray tracing theyre pretty much equals, with the 6800XT having 16gb v 10gb on the 3080 which can have big implications.

This - RT and DLSS aside - 6800XT smashes on them all, couple that with SAM from a 5000 series and youve got even more performance at a lower price with more RAM.

It isn't that I don't care about ray tracing, it just isn't important enough to me to not fuck nVidia.

How long am I looking at for a 6800XT? I'm assuming months?

I thought about going AMD this gen but I'm locked into Nvidia due to my Gsync monitors I purchased early in 2020.
