Maybe I misread what you are saying. Why didn’t you buy the nicer one if the $100 is a lot more bang for the buck?Huh?
Because the 5900 isn't available, the 5800 is what was. I just don't really want to pull the trigger on a 5800, when I feel I get a lot more "bang for the buck" with the 5900.Maybe I misread what you are saying. Why didn’t you buy the nicer one if the $100 is a lot more bang for the buck?
Yeah they need to lower the price of the 5800x at this point. The 5800x should have been a $390 part.
Well you don't get to do that then!Kinda want to ditch my 9700k.
Yeah, exactly. The 5800 is great, but not when you have the 5900 sitting there at only $100 more. I think $379 would've been perfect. The 5800x should have been a $390 part.
You jackwagon! Coulda basically paid for over half your 3080 upgrade...Yeah they need to lower the price of the 5800x at this point.
Also, I'm a weak willed person and put the 3070 in my computer. Figure I'll try to find a 3080 or hopefully a 3080ti then sell this thing.
The fact that you can just a buy a 5800x in stock on Amazon at MSRP is a good sign though.
I know lol, but the reality is these cards don't lose much value at all used. I'm just going to use this fucking thing until I find a replacement. You jackwagon! Coulda basically paid for over half your 3080 upgrade...
If the situation now has taught us anything, then that you just gotta wait for your card to have a higher resale value than whatever you purchased it for. It's gonna happen eventually.Rumors are they're gonna nerf the mining rates of 3080ti's and they'll only have 12 GB of ram. If so the resell on those won't be nearly as good as the normal 3080s.
Well my current system is 10 years old, can I trade it in for a house yet?
I need a few card for gaming. I'm woefully behind, which I could deal with until Mrs. Haus got me a 4k monitor. Currently running a dual nvidia setup of a GTX 760 paired up with a GTX 660.
1080 Ti is respectable, probably some Super versions that are acceptable for the cost. If you're not doing more than 60 fps it's more based on the onboard RAM amounts rather than a 3xxxI need a few card for gaming. I'm woefully behind, which I could deal with until Mrs. Haus got me a 4k monitor. Currently running a dual nvidia setup of a GTX 760 paired up with a GTX 660. Yeah, it's that bad. Yes, I am ashamed.
