Just wait, coming to used cars as well now that a number of new car/truck lines are idled waiting on chips. Also hitting the companies that make the equipment that make the cars. Just yesterday read an article the chp production is not as 100% automated as people think. To frame the chips so they can be installed is human labor intensive and it's been outsourced to 4 countries with cheap labor over the years.

Whole thing is an offshoot of "just in time" logistics which has been the rave over the last 20 years. No longer are there wharehouses full of stuff ready to ship out instantly except for Amazon. Companies that make stuff got int he habit of having stuff arrive to feed their line minutes before it was used. Worked well, till it didn't and now we work our way through it.
