No one is arguing this.I have a 1440p 144/gsync monitor, and there is a huge difference from a 60 one. It is a night and day difference.

The 3080 really should have been 12gb, that seems plenty practical for 4k or triple 1440p. 16gb doesn't seem like something you would ever really hit.
I can't tell the different between 120hz and 144hz but I can tell the difference between G-Sync and G-Sync Compatible.

MSFS 2020 is fucking retarded on the system requirements.Out of interest, just loaded up MSFS 2020 @ 3840x1600 (so still less than 4K) Ultra settings on the 1080ti. Flew out over my local suburbs for a few minutes.
HWINFO reports a max value for GPU D3D Dedicated Memory of 7493 MB. So your 12GB sounds about right. Looks like I'll only be shopping for 16GB Cards.

It's beefy. It doesn't take too much fiddling to get it to run well though...and without killing visuals by any noticeable amount.
I got one of these. Shipped in 2 days. Thrustmaster T.Flight Stick X Joystick
@China Bat Soup - I think you're going about it the wrong way. I can get to and from work in an old ass Grand Cherokee, but do I want to?
Yes, less than 5% of the user base of steam has a video card more powerful than a 2070 Super - but anyone can tell the difference in a more powerful Video Card. I have a 2080TI and I'm not upgrading until I see a dip in the used market.
I'm going to continue to treat my video card and processor like a vehicle lease and get rid of them when their time comes. Which, in reality, I highly suggest to anyone.
I meant wood elves. I haven't slept well.
OTOH, Sand Elves would be fun to play in an MMO.
Who knows, maybe AMD will drop their prices to prove there was no conspiracy? Right? Right?
AMD, Nvidia Conspire to Price Fixing; Sued
A major lawsuit has been filed against AMD and Nvidia for breaking antitrust laws and fixing prices on GPUs and graphics cards.www.tomshardware.com
Is this lawsuit from 2008 still going?
Isn't that just regular physical memory?Since we were discussing VRAM. Amazon's New World is a hog in that regard. 9gigs. So the VRAM debate is real.
