Apparently yeah 3 sticks worth detected. Trouble-shooted it some more just now.
I had figured no chance it was a seating problem because I had to put real horsepower down to get the stick to fit next to the NZXT. Scraping, snap crackle pop type of affair. Motherboard was a concern with the type of force being applied but I needed to at least attempt it because of the slim chance I could fit it.
Not a warranty issue. I'll just need a more sleek or smaller cooler that doesn't bend its connector out towards the RAM deck. The slot closest to the cooler is obstructed. Coolers gotta go at some point.

nvidia meanwhile is over $1 trillion in market cap, thanks to their new AI push. I bought nvidia stock at like $80 years and years ago and its over $400 now, go team ripoff

Not specifically related to 40x0 cards but there are a number of places, Amazon and Newegg in particular, that have 7900 XTX and XT cards from various mfrs with coupons, XFX, Asrock and Sapphire to name several, that are on sale with 100ish coupons, plus Affirm has a coupon for 10% off bringing the XTX cards down to 880ish/855ish? and the XT down to 720ish, IIRC, plus all of the 6000 series cards seem to be on sale as well.
