Think of the entry work in becoming a streamer or YouTuber. In some ways it is worse on OF.
You can’t actually search on OF outside a person’s account name - so unless your account name literally contains the content you specialize in, you have almost no discoverability at platform level. Google/Twitter searches likewise are trash and even then, unless you are focusing on a niche audience, you’re going to be lost in a sea of other people.
If they were serious, then best bet would be to focus on something niche or whatever, get involved with those communities/ test the waters, then use those communities and social media to drive business to an OF or whatever.
They would also need to be ready for the weirdos that would be flooding DMs or worst case stalking. That’s another thing to consider before they try to get into that realm. If they are showing their face online in an OF setting, they really need to consider nuking their real social media accounts or setting everything to ultra private and making sure their profile pictures/etc aren’t of them. If that is too big a risk for them, they might want to consider just not doing this at all

Although some people on OF make a ton of money, the vast majority do not. The median income is only like $180/month. That means half the people on OF make less than $180/month. Unless she already has a ton of followers on social media or some kind of name recognition, it's unlikely she will make any money by hoping on OF no matter what she does there.
