Its a stress test ... it makes a ton of sense to make it a very narrow window to entice people to to log in during that short timeframe. This isn't a "let people play weekend."

How we spent the last hour the servers were up.

Didn't lose a single round lol. Turrets range is massive and your left click does more damage than an actual assault class.

Yeah the turret range was completely broken; no damage drop off and felt like it would hit you across the map instantly. Least in tf2 you can "outplay" an engineers turret and it has some wind up time instead of rounding a corner and instantly being hit because your big toe is around the corner.

You can outplay turrets in this game too, it's just too new and people don't know how. You can Farrah, Tracer, Reaper, or play a barrier tank and counter it pretty well. That being said it's really punishing to new players, not much room for error against it.

You can peek almost anyone and destroy turrets. S76 can easily just throw down a heal beacon and solo multiple turrets at once. They don't have very much HP so less than half a clip and a Helix will bring down a L2. Widowmaker can easily kill them as well. A Pharah with a Mercy can kill a near infinite amount. Honestly these days to play Torb competently you need to constantly be moving around your L2 because once the opponents know where its at it's as good as gone. So you just move it around and skirmish with Torb since he's actually a pretty decent close combat fighter. His LMB can also snipe people from across the map but with the angling that isn't always the easiest to do. On King's Row you should spam your LMB into the top window at the start to kill a potential Widowmaker/Pharah/Hanzo.

Pretty sure his point was there's no wind up time for the turret in this game, which is dumb. If you try and flank a turret it will 180 lock on you and instantly start melting you down which is pretty stupid.

Obviously theres a million ways you can 'outplay' a turret but that's still something that should be changed

They did change the tracking time a few patches back. Its low, I think 0.20 or something, but its there. It isn't auto-lock like when the beta first came back.

I just think Torb is in an actual really good spot. He may actually be a tad underpowered right now. His armor is amazing and he can be quite dangerous if you pop behind corners. But his turret is hilariously terrible which is why I'm shocked people are complaining. But he's a nubstomper and pretty much everyone in the stress test was playing the game for the first time so I guess it makes sense. Would also be why a few people were saying Bastion is OP when he is actually abysmal.

Well, actually to clarify about Bastion. I think he's abysmal if you play him too long. He's extraordinarily counter-able. But what I like to do is near the end of a payload map is pop into Bastion until I can get 1 ult off and then get off him. 9/10 they'll get a proper counter out to kill the Bastion and eventually they'll just expect Bastion to play around him. But you can delay a few pushes with a "surprise" Bastion. But you just have to know when to get off him which can be hard because sometimes after the switch you'll literally shred 5 members of their team and think this is going to last forever.

Turrets are pretty easy to take care of, but they're also easy to get back up. However with 6 of them it's a fucking mess, lol.

I played a lot of Torb in the first stress test months ago and he just felt awful, right now he feels like he's in a super good spot. He has enough health to survive a few rockets, enough damage to 1v1 anybody without his turret, and the giving armor to your teamates is extremely useful and I'd even say overpowered if your team is getting a lot of kills.

I think Torb and Bastion are both in good spots, but I can see how in random pub games with a team that doesn't communicate or anything could see how they're OP. S67 or even Zarya's big plasma balls shred both of them so easily. Bastion feels extremely situational, but also I feel like a lot of people that were playing Bastion were completely ignoring his regular rifle as well, he can dish out some damage with that thing but everyone seems to try to go back into turret mode lol

I like charging with Reinhardt at a Bastion and having him do literally so much dmg/pushback that Reinhardt stands in place. Makes sense.

Also, why would you charge a Bastion
Because if he's not looking at you when you do it, it instantly kills him?

It must've been Roadhog's ult then, but I literally stood in place while charging and died on the spot. I almost shadowplay'd it because it was so WTF.

If this game was 12-12 with maps at least 2.5 times as wide with 3+ viable forks and routes I'd definitely be about it. At 6v6 with 21 characters - that's just not enough of the cast on the map at once for me.
