They probably had more players on day1 of the open beta than they'll have for day1 of release. Or at least they had similar numbers. The servers were mostly solid. I think using AWS cloud to dynamically spawn servers when load becomes intense really helps out the infrastructure strain.

for console its just a disc. for PC its the origin edition is a physical package that will include the battle.net key on a piece of paper plus a disc which may include just a battle.net installer or a full game installer, won't know until people start getting theirs this weekend. most reviewers only get digital keys.

The quality of all the Overwatch animation pieces, from the initial reveal all the way through this lead-up to the release has been fantastic. Granted the fact that Blizzard only produces a few minutes of material a year is part of the reason they are so high quality, but damn if I wouldn't watch the hell out of an Overwatch animated series.
Ah the BNet installer makes sense since the patching and accounts are all tied into being on the BNet2.0 platform

I disagree. I view this game almost more as found money. Titan could have either been scrapped 100% or they could have spent a year or so trying to salvage some parts of it. If OW fails (which it won't its going to sell truckloads) I don't think it'll bankrupt ActiBlizz because the losses from Titan are already mostly eaten.

With all the focus on background story elements and overall world-building/look of the Overwatch setting they have certainly left the door open for other types of games set in the Overwatch universe. I could EASILY see them use the Overwatch characters / abilities in an XCOM-type mission sim or even go as far as an actual RPG.
It's possible ,but doubtful with Blizzard.
They had other IP's they could have done the same thing, and only Starcraft branched out to a single player game that was promptly cancelled.
There plan is to do comics, books, and stuff like that.
World of Warcraft isn't a good example because it's pretty much it's own thing, and an extension of the RTS. They stopped any other game using that IP after that.
Blizz could have easily done another RTS by now, a console mmo, really anything, but they never did.

A better example would probly be Warcraft using the IP for Hearthstone, but that started as a physical game, and was digitally translated to a PC game so really not the same thing.

Similar to how Hearthstone and HoTS were born, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a bunch of eager small teams pitching ideas using their bigger IPs. They could even be using other parts of Titan to spin off into smaller standalone games.
