Had a comp match yesterday where I could tell team was getting bogged down, popped Valk and just aggressively went to the rear and got three kills and just like that team finally pushes forward and we win. Ended up with 10 and 8 kills each on last two games, it just feels odd being that aggressive on a healer, I always feel like a scrub ditching some tank I'm having to heal non stop to keep up to even try that because if I fail it looks like horrible play but can also tell we aren't getting it done.

I do need to really work on the aim not sure how to do that other than repetition. I can kill people with Valk easy enough as they are moving less and rarely see me in time, running into a tracer and I just look like a dummy spraying the walls

It’s going to be so rough when season 10 hits and everyone is trying to squeeze Brigette into comps that just won’t work with her. That kind of nuance is so lost on lower ranked players.

I just tried moira instead of mercy and damn it's insane the difference, just did 20 elim +10k heal in my very first game just trying to figure out the controls. How does this not need nerfed? Virtually no aiming skills required at all. I'm definitely going to spend next 30-40 matches honing this character

Both characters are loads of fun to play. Just don’t forget to heal in between all that dps you can do!

I think it used to be even worse.

Didn't she used to be no aim life drain like Symmetra at one point?

Still is, with crazy range. In mystery heros if one side gets a double moira it's game over. Even one is brutal.

Fought double moira, double dva, soldier, mercy the other day. We lost.

Not to mention how fast her ult builds up. A decent Moira will pretty much have that thing up every engage. Sitting at 62% win rate with her.

Because she only punishes people at low ranks who can't coordinate a kill on someone who is overextending, or the tracers who can't pick her off, or bad healers who don't heal her orb poke damage. Every moira I see in low rating just blinks into range to do 'amazing deeps', and just dies in a clip. Her dps orb is meaningless once your healers actually heal it.

She is definitely strong at low elos though, its a good healer check if you're dying to random chip orb dps you can be sure your healers are garbage. Your team will still blame widow though.

There is zero downsides for Moira. She literally has it all. I'd up her fade cooldown at least a couple seconds to start and tone down the damage on her right click or orb.

I’ve played Moira from bronze to gold; she definitely feels overpowered in those ranks. Her biotic grasp right-click should have less range while moving. It’s just too easy to chase people down with her.

I don't think she's that bad but there's tons of times where you just feel helpless as you're stuck next to that purple deathball. I'd probably make its "sticky" range a bit smaller and thats fine.

I think they should have released a more supporty support instead of brigette, blizzard just has such a weird design process I can't figure it out at all. Brigette seems designed for top tier play, because she is heavily specialised to counter the dive meta which isn't much of a problem at low rating. But this game has had so much toxicity over one tricks in the past, and its completely clear that a large portion of their customers pick any fucking awful hero they feel a connection to, even if it is completely terrible all game, I just don't understand how they can bring/want to bring brigette into the game.

Currently I feel like a lot of the healers, especially at lower rating, suffer from 'not actually healing syndrome'. Moiras (who I agree is strong) most often just dps in lower ranks. Ive seen them go all game not casting a single heal left click or orb. Anas can obviously be guilty of this, just missing aimed shots into teams all day and not actually healing their team. Zens can also be difficult to get to heal (properly), and doesn't heal that much any way. On the other side of things, at least with a mercy you know that people are going to get healed to some extent. The same with lucios, though in lower ranks ive seen a lot of lucios just wallride round the enemy team getting picked all day long, but still Id say most lucios actually heal.

So now you have brigette who can legit do absolutely nothing if she's not on a suitable map/running with another healer/against a favourable comp. Can you imagine that feeling when someone insta locks brigette, no-one else takes a support, and the enemy team run a comp where brigette can't even get any where near the front line and does nothing the entire game? Why are blizzard still making all-or-nothing heroes when they know their players will play them regardless of usefulness. Eugh

I’ve put another 10+ hours on Brigitte in QP. Granted this is QP, so team comp are not always the best, communication pretty much non existant, etc...

I’ve said before that I thought she can be a beast in some situation, and useless in others. I'll revise that somewhat.

This is based on my personal experience only.

I think we have another Moira. She'll most likely see tons of play in lower rank due to her being mechanically easy to play. She’s extremely good on 1 vs 1, probably superior to Moira even. Can put out decent healing, in my experience constantly higher than Zenyetta, that’s not even counting the shield she provides and the damage that mititigates althoughy not all the shields are being used some of it will wear off without mitigating anything. She dishes out very good damage, gets lots of kills, an boop you off the map so she will appeal to a lot of people.

In pro or higher rank she will most likely see the same type of play Moira does, very little and situational.

She isn’t as bad as I first thought, you can have awful experience with her but not that often, as I said at low rank she’ll be another Moria, played everywhere and in all team comp, and for the most part, like Moira it will work out even though it might not be the best choice.

She’s kind of good if the other isn’t coordinated, and on your end all you have to do is follow the tank and that’s usually good enough. As I said on platinum and under where coordination isn’t great she will do just fine.

Her repair pack is really good, it’s an excellent heal although the cooldown is long, 75 armour put on a Genji before he blades, or a Reaper before he death blossoms can make a big difference.

Her ultimate will be nerfed for sure, the armour will decay. Using her ultimate in a fight and finishing the fight with your team having an extra 150 armour almost means you’ll win the next fight also, having a 300 hp Tracer running around is ridiculous.

The bottom line is she is fun to play.

For myself, who likes to play support, she will definitely be added to my support pool with Moira and Zenyetta. That should pretty much gives me a good support for any situation...although Zenyetta does that on his own. The problem at lower rank is without help from your team, playing Zen can be frustrating if they don’t peel from you and protect you. Moira and Brigitte are good on their own, which is what makes them appealing I think.

Hell Is Freezing Over from Mei & Reaper Changes

  • More people will turn against dive compositions, and we will see an increase in close quarters team compositions with Mei replacing an off-tank or damage slot (especially on control maps)
  • Brigitte and Mei will be a match made in flank-busting heaven
  • Pharah usage (and ironically Mercy usage) will increase to combat slow-moving objective-based team compositions including Mei and Brigitte
  • Reaper use will increase somewhat, especially when Brigitte hits competitive games
  • Roadhog will become more extinct than he already is
  • McCree’s usage will drastically increase
  • Teams will have to change compositions more frequently, and more heroes will be “in meta” than ever before due to counter-picking specific heroes


Interesting theories. We'll see what happens.
