I was under the impression some of the 'clones' have been in development since before Overwatch was announced? It seemed like a few companies had been eyeing the TF2 market, not so much OW itself. The again, I'm sure larger studios are aware of other IPs in production long before we are.

I think the first line in that email says enough : " You're invited to take part in our first Overwatch Beta Test Weekend,". Account will probably say beta regardless and they will just take it way when its done.

Yea nope, I get the red circle with line icon on beta forums. Oh well. I've done so many betas and provided pages of feedback/bugs and I habitually get shit on by Blizz for selection. The only one I've ever got in legit without guild contacts at Blizz was HotS, that's from someone who's literally owned every Blizz game on PC. I bought Blackthorne on floppy disks.

Also sucks because they haven't really done a big flood yet, so every time a new wave is announced it appears to be relatively small.
