It looks fast because she has some kind of chain blink move.
Yes from the few where you see other people watching her she has some kind blink/phase move that she does some very fast movement so that may be causing the sped up look on some of the videos. Honestly it looks pretty fun I used to play TF2 a lot so I do get in the mood for games like this from time to time I am sure I will fire it up and enjoy it.

Same, TF2 is my second most played game of all time next to EQ.

Kind of random, but I'm actually pretty excited this doesn't look like it has much aim-down-sight. I was playing Halo with my nephew recently and realized how much different it is from the CoD/BF types, a big reason is you just point and shoot...no constant sights up/down.

Given the different classes seems like there are a fair amount of options I am guessing you will have a few sniper type guys who are aim down the sight type guys but most seem to be very point and shoot craziness which is fun.

Aside from the blink and rewind abilities Tracer just doesn't seem quicker or more agile than the other characters. I was really hoping for a TF2 scout class with blink and rewind, I'm a bit underwhelmed.

I still have a lot of nostalgia for scouts from the original TF and TFC. Concussion grenade jumping had to be one of the most unintended use of mechanics that I enjoyed the most.

Man I could never get the hang of conc jumping.

I mean I could do it but nothing even remotely close to the level seen in that video.

It took practice, a grenade timer that worked for you, and a consistent connection speed in a era that predated most broadband (primarily during the original TF days). 400+ ms ping was great at destroying one's timing.

So I'm curious what the scoop is on these, do they just slap their best FPS player on whatever champ they're doing, or is he playing bots or something? In every one I've watched the player seems to be wildly better than everyone on the other team.

The Tracer one and the sentry chick gameplay videos were from the same match. But yeah, it seems like noob smashing.

That, and they seem to get a disproportionate amount of healing from the support characters. It's marketing; no one wants a gameplay video from the perspective of someone getting owned.

Well yeah I guess they're trying to show off the character at their "best", and judging from the video, I would say bots or bad players also(which isn't very surprising in blizzard alphas and shit). It's not really meant to show off much more I think. They're all one sided stomp games though so it's kinda boring, but at the same time it makes the videos shorter which is good for promotion.

Look at old previews of D3/SC2, Blizzard does it with every game's PR. Reaper looked really boring, like dumbed down version of scout, there was zero feedback of landing a good shot or good ulti...

Pharah

I chuckled when that poor Bastion player managed to get a revenge kill on Pharah.

Also, something to note about Play of the Game:

The way Play of the Game works right now is that it's based on your score, which is then modified by being near an objective. As a result, you'll often see a Play of the Game being awarded to players who happen to get kill streaks close to a payload or capture point within a short period of time.

This is only an early iteration of the feature, though, and certainly not what we envision as its end state. We're currently working on ways to recognize players with Play of the Game for doing things that aren't just kill streaks-for example, if a Mercy resurrects her team and then goes on to win the match or a Zenyatta sustains his team through a difficult push with a well-timed Transcendence, etc.
Also,

Nah. In the case of this match, the person playing Pharah was not only very good, but also had a lot of support from their team. Certainly not every match will go this well (note: the Pharahs in some of the other matches we've published were not nearly as successful), but we thought this one showcased the potential of the hero in the right hands. Also: dat killstreak.

These quotes are from the PlayOverwatch account, btw. So obvious PR vids, and Blizz knows it.
