oh yeah for sure. I don't see why someone wouldn't be that good yet. Game is basically TF2.

I assume if you just pick a pewpew class and go your team will wind up missing some vital role and get shitstomped like a MOBA?

In TF2 it wasn't so rigid ("yay the healer is following me") but with so many classes and the push to be an esport I'm guessing it'll be more important.

I think I'm too old and lazy for that. Are there modes where no fucks are given?

I think he's saying if someone is good enough aim assist is actually a hindrance. But I doubt anyone is that good quite yet.
Yes to the first, no to the second. It's a FPS, unless the movement is drastically different skill will transfer. For aim assist, with games that have a lot of splash damage it's a hindrance if you're getting pulled by the aa. I haven't played Overwatch, but from videos it seems like there's a lot of Quake RL type abilities.

I actually think it would be pretty interesting playing against controller guys with a proper console type aim assist. Some of those guys are impressively good if you ever watch them, I don't think they'd stand up to a M/KB pro by any stretch but I think they'd dominate normal players.

Mouse seems to give no advantage in Destiny at all between the capped turn rate and huge aim assist, plus shit that can annihilate you like supers and grenades or a shotgun you don't see coming. With the strong AA you can either get pulled right off your intended target, or aim for the head once and then just auto headshot the shit out of it with the tracking.

On the other hand COD is fucking hilarious with mouse vs gamepad. I know a 21 year old who is a no-scoping run and gun sniping machine that has lived and breathed COD for 10 years who runs in the 5+ K/D range and watching him play looks like someone driving a tank compared to kbm. A XIM is damn near PC-like in that game and they shitstomp people.

Yeah all modes. Just play the game like it's a video game rather than trying to be the best in the world and you'll enjoy it.

Mouse/KB is and always will be better than control+assist.

Destiny is a shit game and shouldn't be discussed.

I will say from the streams it seemed like a team where everyone decided to go offensive versus a team that was rounded (ie: tanks/support/offense) the team that stacked offense got completely shit on. It felt like you really wanted at least one tank and one support so you can engage properly but if you went all offense you would just run into a hallway and your entire team could get slaughtered in seconds.

Composition definitely matters but also looks super flexible because of the diversity of the classes. All the supports have bonkers strong abilities but are weak as hell on their own, so you if you have too many of them you're boned despite the power of their abilities.

Yeah team balance is important obviously, it's probably best you just learn to like multiple heroes instead of one. There's a lot of little strategical things that will make your team better depending on what's going on, but if you're a good player with a hero then you can probably stick with it most of the time and you'll do well.

Yea once I can play I'll probably binge out on Tracer for a while, and support of choice would probably be Symetra or whatever her name is. All the tanks besides Reinhart seem kinda meh.

Tracer's really fun and if you're cognizant of your blink CD while shooting and attacking you can be unstoppable. She drops off when the team is turtling though, really hard to have an impact when they've got 2 tanks + turret + sniper in a place you can't get to.

Blink x3 + sticky + rewind though can take a bunch of turtles out if they're not paying attention.

She's my most favorite for sure right now. Reminds me of the WC3 mods on Counter-strike. Playing an undead with an MP5.

Reinhart seem the most straight forward but Roadhog and Winston both look more fun to play IMO

Reinhart is pretty straight forward but the dude is the complete essence of tank basically. If you don't have a team to stand behind your shield and push with you and do damage, you're utterly useless.

Winston can go in and rape people, while the team focuses on stopping him your team can rape the others.

Roadhog is probably the strongest damage wise. His hook + Shotgun blast will kill most people but is really hard to hit and his ultimate is insane if you've got support.

the SJW Tumblrina is kind of weak all around. She's more of a support tank than anything. Like most things in life, the male versions are much better than the female version.

This summit guy is annoying as fuck as well. Why are all the top streamers on twitch such annoying douchebags?

I guess if you're in the PewDiePie level of making money it would be a good life but the people streaming to 4k people probably making like $750-$1k a month it seems like a terrible existance. You have to be a loud annoying fucktard and pander to twitch chat which is basically the most repetitive, droll, immature, anti-funny community on the planet. I'd rather flip some fucking hamburgers than be a sorta-name streamer.

You don't have to pander if you're good or an attractive female or entertaining. Otherwise you have to pander. Some people basically just play games on stream and get extra cash from sad nerds while they play the games they already enjoy. Win-win.

If someone is pulling a consistent 4k viewers on their stream they are making north of 50k/year off it. There's unbelievable money to be made in Twitch if you can build any kind of audience.

Dudes like Summit are banking couple hundred thousand a year, and Lirik may actually be at a million already.

If you're good enough many thousands will watch you without interaction chances are you already are playing the game full time. If you just play after work occasionally you'll never gain enough momentum to get enough followers to start a real revenue stream because inconsistency in stream times is the easiest way to lose a viewer.
