I'm amused at how some ridiculous monster+robot Power Ranger knockoff movie is suddenly being compared to Prometheus.

Talk about turning your brain off.

I enjoyed Prometheus in all of its philosophical splendor.


The only thing those 2 movies have in common is the casting of Idris Elba.

i was thinking that as well. It certainly isn't a conventional "monster of the week" kaiju fight like ultraman. it's probably closer to godzilla than anything.

i *may* think that's one of the reasons they were not much known in america. Even here in europe a lot of those cartoons were censured. You know, things like mass murders, devils invading earth slaughtering ppl, 2 stepbrothers fucking their stepsister, lesbian lovers.....
