No they didn't, I had a good PC and the game ran great. I play the game with everything cranked, only near Vol Tuniel did the frame rate get bad and I could lower a few settings and get 60fps without it look much different to maxed. The problem was lower end machines, on my friends pc it ran stuttery even with low settings, and it looked bad on those settings. Also chunking was no big deal, the only people who complain about that are faggots with a lame agenda, ie, this entire forum.

Bull...Fucking...Shit!!! I had a top of the line gaming rig when VG came out in 2007. I beta tested the game, as well as playing it from release until about three months in to release, and the game always ran like shit. I would have several CTD's every playing session, as well as random chunking (hello, /flush which EVERYONE had to do), and sporadic frame rates. It didn't matter how powerful your computer was, the game ran like shit. In fact, I don't believe the problems were ever fixed, nor could they be fixed, as there were fundamental flaws with the code.

Once again Qwertertertert goes full retard. Plenty of people here played the VG beta and release. We all have first hand experience of how it was. Your post is truly laughable, and the way you talk to people as if they have no experience in it themselves is highly amusing.
Personally, I am looking forward to Pantheon. I am very skeptical about it actually getting to release though. We'll see! and in the meantime we have this glorious thread to keep ourselves entertained.

You talk about bullshit and full retard but you dummies also talking about two completely different things. CTD's have nothing to do with the players hardware or optimisation. That is to do with buggy code which I never denied, two different issues. The game was seriously buggy and highest my friends got was level 15 before quitting forever, because we couldn't even loot mobs we killed half the time. It also would crash like clockwork once per hour. But the whining about the game not running smooth on high end hardware is bullshit. The game ran smooth for me, I got a good framerate and it looked amazing, and I could zone in about 3 seconds max, and that was in beta and then at release. I doubt any of you had a truly high end PC or it would have been the same for you.
It also only got better from that point as hardware improved. A few years down the road I was 6 boxing the game on one PC...

I spent 3k on my PC for vanguard. It crashed so fucking much on launch it was insane, I was falling through the world constantly. The game was fun, but it was fucked at launch.
I remember i bought the first generation of SLI, and it would run worse so I had to take one of my fuckin 800 dollar graphics cards out of my PC to even run it somewhat well. And even then it would still crash.

People who complain about chunking have a lame agenda... right. We complain about a game being advertised as open world, but it actually isn't, as it takes a giant shit on your PC for anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds as you're running from location to location.

You are full fucking retard or delusional beyond belief. I actually thoroughly enjoyed VG, but it was buggy as hell and yes I had a top of the line PC. I was able to have fun despite the faults, but I get why most other didn't.

I tried to play when it first came out with a middle line computer until I could update. It wouldn't even run half the time. I updated 5 months later. It didn't do much better but I was able to consistently play by then. Of course the population had already fallen by a massive amount so that could have helped as well. It wasn't until years later that the game played somewhat ok compared to the rest of the market.
