I'm single, fat, red headed, and live with two cats, why wouldn't I be excited about a Kickstarter beginning? Not sure why you guys would be excited for a kickstarter to begin.

Well if all the features were basically WOW, Brad would be hard pressed to describe it as niche? I'd also like to add my voice to the "fuck flying mounts" crowd but not sure if I should be directing my thoughts to Brad or Dan at this point. Thread is moving quick.I like how the "Pantheon community feature wishlist" is only reflecting features that are basically Everquest 1.
Brad is 1-1. The main issue I have is who is the moneyman on the team and is it someone who can make sure Brad stays focused.Ok. I think it's time for Utnayan to step in, this thread is getting out of control. Three years away, not the best track record, no details at all yet and people are hoping they can drop $1k on a game.
Maybe I'm just poor, stingy, or too cynical and pessimistic but this seems insane to me.
Don't be "that" guy.Not sure why you guys would be excited for a kickstarter to begin.
Maybe Brad wants to hear some NEW ideas? No one has said to stop talking about old school features. It has just been pointed out that maybe screaming "MAKE IT LIKE EQ!" in his face repeatedly isn't such a smart idea in 2014. I won't pretend to know all of Brad's thoughts, or how ambitious he wants to be with this project, but maybe he doesn't want to just remake EQ again?I'll add that Brad specifically asked for feedback.. Were we suppose to ignore him and just let this thread die even tho a lot of us are excited about this project? I just don't get it lol.. We can't win.. for years we were told to move all the old school design ideas to a central location.. now we have a central location with a game that is very relevant and someone is saying stop talking about old school features.. WTF??
And everyone seems to forget that Brad's one of the few that made Everquest, an MMO we enjoyed before. Can't really quantify that with anyone else. If you can't give this guy your money to kick-start a good mmo you can't give it to anyone.I've said it before, and if don't mind will repeat it again,
The money I've pissed away over the past few years on mmo's just in the hopes of enjoying something as much as I did EQ/DAOC/briefly VG makes the idea of supporting Brad not seem so ridiculous for the chance of someone making a game along the lines I enjoy.
From Warhammer Collector Edition (75ish if not mistaken ) to the Malgus statue being the only thing out of the 150 dollar SWTOR CE being worth a shit , I've wasted money in some ways (did get at least brief enjoyment out of both and others though).
Point being , Brad's at least saying the right things , so if gave Bioware 150 dollars to watch them show me a 101 class in mmo big budget failure , why not support the guy who's at least aiming for what I want.
What page?Their forums are up at their previous Kickstarter ip address.
Think that's a fan site?? Not the official ones. Unless that was your way to send traffic there? Ha of so smart play!
Project Pantheon is a fan site.Think that's a fan site?? Not the official ones. Unless that was your way to send traffic there? Ha of so smart play!
Isn't Utnayan teaming with McQuaid one of the signs of the Apocalypse?UT is working on this project with Brad. He's head of the Pantheon MySpace fan page...I welcome UT he's one of my favorite posters and I think he'll be a bit more fair than some of you are expecting.
Thanks for the kind words!Aw... that sucks.![]()
I guess it really is going to be an old school MMO.Why myspace? No one I know has used Myspace in the past 4 years.
Haha! That wasn't directed at you. I took a look at your pjnorrath site though, very nice job. Thanks for the kind words!
