Honestly I don't think anyone would give a shit besides a very small handful of people. Bring on the dong sliders. Also I'll trade my boob slider for a shapely ass slider any day since that's what I'll be staring at most of my play time.

I remember when my buddy in high school was trying to sell me on playing EQ. When I finally agreed to try it, I said, "well lets hope the game is better than its awful name."

We talked about this and I found it a bit premature.. Sounds like the meat of the class design is held up in the PC gamer article.. They would of been better dropping it after.. I'm guessing we won't have all the info till class reveal week.

precisely, as this game is build on the idea of a return of the trinity to oppose titles like EQN.

as stated earlier, I promise they revealed the cleric just to say 'see we have healers, HEALERS, oldschoooool' but that intent escaped most people, myself included, initially. they sat around and made that reveal a very deliberate decision, but it flopped.

watch them reveal the warrior and enchanter (or pantheon equivalent thereof) next.

This is exactly how I felt about Shadowbane. It seriously had some of the coolest and most "rpg-like" elements of any game but fuck it was a shit client.

Cool features:

Stats that could change your character's appearance (size)
A flying race
Real thievery
Town creation/conquest
The ability to "spec" in any of your character's abilities to become better at them
Huge group sizes
Real evasion tanking even for spells
Runes that added cool flavor to your character a la bladeweaver
Multiple base classes that could choose the same advanced class for a different flavor
Etc etc

Too bad it was such a shitty client and the game play really needed regular server resets to keep it interesting.

they shouldn't because they need something a little more exotic, and dare I say interesting to both maintain and gain attention. if their next reveal is 'the warrior: he tanks' it really could be a momentum killer despite the fact the the tank and healer dynamic of class interdependence is the reason we're into pantheon to begin with in a broad sense.
