No, he's claiming dual shields is some off the cuff creation. It has precedent in many pnp games.
Many, many games you say?

He is saying that because THEY said that all the information they had was already released. So if they already released all the information they had that would make this information .... yup made up on the fly within a few days or hours.

Even if it has precedent in "many" pnp games doesn't make them using it in their class not "made up on the fly".

HE made that up, he can't be far off from something he made up. He was saying they should have gone that route.
It's like you are one of the few who take a moment to read before replying, thanks for clarifying.. And yes they are making it up as the go along, has there been any proof to the contrary?

There are many MMO-server open source projects out there. The thing you'll run into is art asset quality and cost - but if its more of a MUD I guess you only need a competent UI.

If you're aiming 2d/3d MMO - well that is another level of ass pain.
We're in it to see what we can accomplish for free or any other low cost asset packs. It's more like we're taking on a hobby than anything else.

Not talking about the squire stuff because it's silly and doesn't deserve a response.
Well, they're going to have to design them into the game in a profound, significant way now, because that's all anyone is talking about:

massively

The think that irks me about their limited ability to write, is now in a second-hard source we get things like this:

It sounds as though Crusaders will be very beneficial to parties with group-wide buffs and the ability to tank effectively. They'll also get a squire to help out, undead-banishing abilities, and the option to pick up two shields for both protection and offense.
Sweet, so as a Crusader I'll get group-wide buffing, a squire, undead banish, AND us dual shields?

When, in reality don't we think a Paladin can banish undead, not the Cavalier? Or is banishing undead somehow Crusader lore, not Paladin. All because instead of outlining what each sub-class can do, they just generically rambled on about Crusaders without any focus.

I dont know why they would mention that squire stuff if it wasnt part of the class. It makes no sense to put it in the description. And talk about it for like a whole paragraph.

No need to keep saying this. They already said it themselves, very clearly. They are definitely making this up on the fly. Every single person in this thread knows that by now. Some people won't mind that, some people will. But they did actually state it themselves.

Wait... What did they say? Got a link?

Also, I'm pretty sure you can dual wield shields in dark souls.

Many stories tell of the "white knight" in full plate armor on the hilltops accompanied by their squire proudly carrying the king's banner. Wherever the Crusader may travel, whoever they may serve, word of their high loyalty spreads and the citizens will offer themselves up to become a squire under their stead. The squire yearns to please the knight, as they know they can easily be replaced. As the Crusaders loyalty and fame become stronger, so too does the squire that follows them. It has been known for Crusaders to change their allegiances from one country to another, though there may be consequences involved.

Sounds like a pet to me... Possibly non-combat.

Anyone still want to get in making a graphical MUD in Unity? Getting some peeps together and we're actually going to do something on a hobby-like level. If anyone with network/engineering/coding experience wants to have some fun let me know in a PM. We already have some smart people but the more the merrier, but anyone (almost anyone) is welcome if they want to arm-chair dev their way to ferraris.
I don't know anything about coding, programming, art or even basic the basic fundamentals of the engrish language but I would definitely like to armchair my way into a Ferrari of some type.

Can I be the fat guy that brings the doughnuts and tries not to spill coffee on people's keyboards?

Well if its just a useless pet that follows you around, ill pass. There has to be some reason for him. that shit would get annoying. Ive always hated non combat pets that follow you around. /dismiss SWTOR did that shit right.

Some people are bitches.

Here is my reply.
Come the fuck on, man... You never had any intention to spend $10,000 on this project.

Really glad to see Kickstarter does kind of actually care.

Also, congrats on the lack of reading comprehension. Seems to be a running theme with you. The Kickstarter staff never once accused you of pledging and cancelling multiple times.

They do care, that is good. I know they care. I didn't play with the kickstarter because I knew they cared. What bothers me is this person makes an outlandish claim. Something that kickstarter can actually check in their logs and yet they send me an email about it? The response to tdewey should have been, "nobody did this, move along". If somebody else is actually doing that, send them an email. Not me.

Read again what the Kickstarter folks sent to you. The issue was not about the 10k pledge being added and removed multiple times.

No, a_skeleton_03 is spot on in his reply to them. Thats a major contribution and should not be taken lightly.
