It's still interesting to me how this is getting money (however little it is) but it's from people that already backed. It did 12,000 yesterday but only 10 new backers. It was a see saw day where people were dropping and it's like the current fanatics are just digging in their own pocket to cover the difference. I think the forum thing really annoyed more people than they think, especially those that were already on the fence to begin with.

I still don't see it funding though, unless a couple of those 3k backers have very deep pockets.

Disappointed in their webpage revamp. Basically an exact copy/paste from what's on the KS using the same 3 pieces of art. Nothing new.

I think it's fair to say this is a new low for everyone involved in this project, right? I mean selling forum access to a game that will certainly never, ever see the light of day is really a new level of scumminess. Instead of just fess up to the fact that their plan to waltz onto KS with nothing but their dicks in their hands and receive millions of dollars has failed they've doubled down and decided to exploit those few misguided souls even further. It's really sad now. Like "I hope none of you associated with this ever gain employment in the industry ever again" levels of sad.

I think the smartest thing any of them can do right now is walk away

But thanks to those subscriptions he's now earning less than a full time minimum wage job would earn him per month. That's enough to pay for a full studio to make Pantheon isn't it?

Lol @ that guy on the KS using Noah and the flood story as a reason we shouldn't doubt this game.

Remember, when I was 5, Santa totally delivered on that NES I wanted, so Brad will make sure this game gets made.

fictional book huh? Too bad you feel that way but my point was that even though the odds seem long, this game is going to happen. If you want to donate then great, if you have your doubts, then please feel free to go play another game that you can pretend will give you the same satisfaction, but won't come close when this one is released.

Rent is high in Cali, man. Why ask for just enough to get a tech demo started to make a real push at office space and real production on the game when you can get your industry standard salaries back-paid and start the game without any proof or implementation of design?

My guess is they thought 800k was on the low side... since they put Star Citizen at the level of 'optimistic' for their expectations scale. lol?

What's funny is I don't think most of those people are trolling, they truly believe what they are typing. I've seen some pretty diehard fans for games over the years, but this group is right up there. Especially since it's for a game that's not even a reality.

Brad needs to hire this guy as CEO. He's already helmed an MMO company so he knows the ropes and he's an expert at using the Streisand Effect for promotion. What could go wrong?
