None of this crap really matters in the long run. It was a better class update but that's not saying much compared to what came before. Still no details on how the class plays, no details on the 'sub' classes, no details on when you would get to pick those classes, no details at all. And everyone else sees this, because this came out a couple hours ago and the KS needle hasn't moved at all.
What, no details? It was full of details... like:

Larger shields covering wider areas are easier to block with.

There was just a lot of downtime associated with raids. Shit, the setup and the buffs alone usually ended up taking 30-45 min. So yeah, there was a shit ton of time to read books between. But during the encounter? I doubt it.

even in non raid situations, when you were just farming a PH or something, there was a lot of waiting. Some of those pops were liek 20-30 min between.
Yeah, I can totally see some book reading during downtime, buffing time for raids, or waiting for respawns. It just seems a bit extreme to me to continue reading your book while you are main tanking a raid encounter. Ridiculous in the same fashion that playing the game with your feet would be. Just doing it for the sake of doing it.

Anyone still want to get in making a graphical MUD in Unity? Getting some peeps together and we're actually going to do something on a hobby-like level. If anyone with network/engineering/coding experience wants to have some fun let me know in a PM. We already have some smart people but the more the merrier, but anyone (almost anyone) is welcome if they want to arm-chair dev their way to ferraris.

You mean all I have to do is throw out ideas and watch other people implement them? I'm in!

You guys are sitting here debating two shield as if it isn't something that was thought up last night as some sort of triage for the lack of warrior class. Now all of a sudden was have subclasses and they need to back track to try and unfuck the cleric and dark knight listings. They would of been better suited with a squire class whom can become a "Warrior", "Good Knight", or "Bad Knight" which can be achieved by the choices they make in game.

Melee Squires who believe in Dayman, fighter of the Nightman can become "Good Knights" who get blessed with additional healing skills.
Melee Squires who believe in Nightman can become "Dark Knights" who get blessed with additional unholy skills.
Melee Squires who believe in the shitty gods and believe in themselves instead focus on improving their own skills and become a "Warrior"

but again it's about 5 minutes worth of making shit up which is about all they have done too.

Interesting point. Please elaborate.

No, all he wants is coders. He has already stated that he will be the "project manager" and I can only assume the sole designer.

If you can follow instructions and code exactly what you are told to, feel free to PM him.

How do you mention something verifiably untrue in almost all your posts? To look at the previous cleric description. It clearly has sub classes.

There are many MMO-server open source projects out there. The thing you'll run into is art asset quality and cost - but if its more of a MUD I guess you only need a competent UI.

If you're aiming 2d/3d MMO - well that is another level of ass pain.

Quoting this because you are going to be so far off it's hilarious.

HE made that up, he can't be far off from something he made up. He was saying they should have gone that route.
No, he's claiming dual shields is some off the cuff creation. It has precedent in many pnp games.

Not talking about the squire stuff because it's silly and doesn't deserve a response.
