Edit: I've seen people make fun of this picture on lots of random boards, starting from when it was used on the first KS day. What does it take to get through to them to stop using shit like this ? It's a terrible representation. It actually makes people make fun of the KS and tell others to look at the stupid SLASH shit.

It may very well be, but at least doesn't have BAM POW AND WOOOSH all over them. They might think it's a "cute" thing now as I just read the "who doesn't love SLASH" caption on the article in tiny print.
They aren't running a KS that's well into stretch goal 2 and building. They are in the likely to not fun land. You don't make little inside jokes like that trying to represent your game. Holy shit 99% of people who glance at that article are going to assume the infamous SLASH is what its going to look like.
I just do not get what they are thinking on the PR front.

It could just be these guys are a group of Socially Awkward Penguins, to them they aren't making any mistakes really, they honestly just do not know any other way. Given what they have shown they can churn out so far what's going to make you guys pledge cold hard cash to them again on the next Kickstater? Will you continue to support if they take $800k, come up with basically everything we said they should of had in this kickstater and pledge another $250?
Not sure how much the so called niche group would be willing to pony up for Alpha access the 2nd time around when they already got it from the first.

Bilbo Faggins has made about the best argument I've seen for just giving up on this shit, though. Be constructive about what they actually HAVE! Which is jack, and shit. And if you want to support a project or play a game that actually has something to show for itself, or is making smart decisions, then Pantheon might just not be for you.
