no one was saying whether or not brad will be able to repeat what was accomplished with EQ. the point you and the other idiots continue to try and make over and over is that EQ wasn't a good game, didn't have good mechanics, and was not worth playing and that people only played it or tolerated it because there was nothing else to play; which you could argue if you didn't play the game for several years. but if you played EQ for several years (hell, even for several months) you have no leg to stand on to call the game bad. if you played a game that you didn't like for years on end you're either:
A. a fucking idiot
B. a fucking idiot
or
C. a fucking idiot
Are you mentally retarded? Right in the fucking post of mine that you quoted I said this: "As far as etchazz's stupid posts go, no,
I didn't hate EQ. I had a lot of fun playing it for a few years. But a lot of that fun was entirely in spite of McQuaid and other's efforts and vision for the game. Expecting him to repeat it, especially in light of the failure that VG turned out to be, is asinine."
So I'm going to go with you being mentally retarded, or just straight up illiterate. Because no one here is saying that EQ wasn't "a good game" or didn't have good mechanics. People are saying that it was a good game, and had good mechanics,
largely in spite of the people who made it, quite possibly by accident.
This isn't a difficult nuance here.

He reminds me of Curt a little bit, except I don't think Brad has a decent throwing arm. Neither should be involved in financing or HR and neither of them seem capable of running a major business venture.
Well, the one big point in Curt's favor is that he pissed away a HUGE amount of his own money before he ever pissed away the taxpayer's. Brad isn't even willing to work for free, let alone invest his own money (of which he apparently has none). And Curt at least had the excuse that he'd never been in game development before, largely didn't know any better, and surrounded himself with yes men. Brad doesn't have that at all, after his multiple face plants, yet he keeps on trucking.

funny thing is, if his KS wasn't a total train wreck he probably would have at least gotten the initial funding he was looking for pretty easily. not saying that he would have delivered an actual game, but i could see him at least getting the $ to get the company started.
Get the company started and do what? 800k would be enough to get an office, some hardware/software, and half a dozen employees for 6 fucking months tops. Given Brad's inability to project manage, they'd likely produce next to anything worthwhile in that timeframe.

Kind of makes Salim look like a bit of a chump, too. I mean, this doesn't do anything for Brad but Salim basically said he lied about selling his Ferrari when he actually did. I also just realized that my true emotion should be why the fuck do I care about the cars or their current ownership status. What the actual fuck.
It shows what a colossal fuck up McQuaid is. The guy doesn't have a pot to piss in and has to take an advance from his crowdfunded startup to make ends meet, but owns a couple hundred thousand dollars worth of cars. Or did up until recently. Not sure what his NSX would be worth these days.
