Obviously teach him how to construct bad ass bumpers for cars. Then he can sell them for profit and save up for college or whatever vacation you're trying to save up for. Win win for everyone.

Let him talk to a_skeleton_03 on Facetime
Why would you torture a child like that? Although a_skeleton_03 would probably learn a thing or two from the little guy.

How the fuck do you deal with daycare and your kid being sick all the time? 1 year old has been there 3 weeks, illness he got on week 1 kept him home week 2. Now he's got a fever again so at best he's out again tomorrow.

It sucks, but it will get better as your kid builds up an active immunity. We ended up 2 weeks in the children's ward, h.influenzae and para-influenza virus when my little girl started. You ride it out.

It passes after a bit. We had hand, foot, mouth disease running through our house for like 3 weeks straight at one point. Eventually they just outgrow it and get hard.

It does get better over time but you can also make sure your daycare is up to par. My kid was at the doctors twice a month due to fevers and ended up having a seizure due to a high spiking fever (paramedics clocked him at 105). The daycare was kind of lax on their cleaning/hand washing. They had a camera there and my wife took a screenshot of nap time when some little girl crawled into my sons nap area and slept there in his face and they did nothing.

After six months and the seizure we switched him to another daycare, he's been sick once since then and it was during a vacation.

Man I haven't thought about the seizure in a year. My wife called me while I was driving and around the corner from our house. I never wanted to get home so fast in my life and seeing paramedics everywhere with my wife freaking out was crazy.

So my daughter went back to school on Tuesday, where she was again suspended this time for 3 days. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck. My wife calls the psychologist crying asking if there is any way we can expedite the process. Turns out, she has enough completed to tell us it is 100% certain she has ADHD, plus some other issues she didn't want to get into over the phone, but the ADHD is the root cause of a lot of this behavior. So that's good, we have some kind of answer. Bad news is, we can't get the IEP or 504 until the insurance pays her office. I call them up and they say payment was approved on the 17th and was sent over... this is 2015, what the fucking fuck.

So, looks like next Friday is the soonest we are going to be able to get an official diagnosis and get some protection for her, which is good. I don't know how she can make it, I mean, at this point it is certain she is going to go to school and act out and end up with the same behavior that got her suspended in the first place. Nobody knows what to do.

Also, funny story, she told the administrators and psychologist at the school that we don't let her take a bath. They said"Why?" and she said "I can only take a bath in the sink." They said "Why?" and she said "because my sister takes a bath in the bathtub because her vagina is bleeding where the monster hurt her." Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucking great. So they call my 6 year old in the counselors office and grill her about whether anyone at home hurts her, which she of course answered "Yes". When i asked her why she said yes she said "Well my sisters hurt me sometimes, mommy grabbed my arm one time, sometimes I get hurt on accident" I started to explain to her that isn't what they meant but I don't want her to feel bad for telling teh truth so I just dropped it. So we're not sure if CPS is coming to visit yet, but the school was curious enough that it seems like a possibility. Me, I guess I understand that 5 year olds just say crazy shit sometimes, but they are acting very serious about this. Probably nothing, they didn't mention the talk with my older daughter to us. THUMBS HIGH!

Well she was home today and my wife tried some stuff she read online about behavior control for ADHD kids. She set a timer and had her do activities in short periods of 15 minutes and then gave her a time out. She said doing it this way she got her to clean the living room and her room, which would have just been a miserable fucking experience earlier. She also started this reward system that I have no hope in but whatever, we're trying different things.

I don't see how they don't decide she needs medication at this point. But maybe not, I don't know anything about it really. Really, it isn't me going through it, it's her. She's miserable and amped up all the damn time.

How old Chaos? My baby is only 3.5 months but I'm already worried about everything. My little duder was born about 98% healthy, but has this darn almost clubbed foot. Anyway, its not too uncommon 1/1000 so if any of you guys get blessed with that thing, let me know if you need pointers. The toughest part is the trips to the hospital / casting place during the first few weeks, but its pretty simple now. After going to Children's Hospital a few times to get the casts on, you realize a little casted foot aint shit. We met kids having open heart surgery, brain cancer, and all kinds of shit. Anyway, kid is 3.5 months old, is almost 30 inches long, what a beast, weighs about 15 lbs, not bad, but has a little head, so probably will be a football player or something (no brain, jk)

His sleep isn't too bad, sleeps from 8:00 PM - about midnight, feeds, and sleeps again till about 6 AM, screams, then smiles at you and goes back to sleep. Every day.

If anyone wants info on the club foot stuff feel free to PM me. We learned a good bit about the shoes and the tricks you can use to keep them on. If anyone's wondering it usually heals to 'normal' in about 3 months then requires sleeping boots for about 3 years, kind of like wearing a retainer on your bracers so your teeth don't get jacked up.

Damn chaos, that shit scares me. What if my kid says something and my life gets turned upside down?

Not to make this situation worse but many years ago my cousin told police that my aunt was making her watch her and her husband have sex and smoke weed with them. The police found weed and sex toys in the bedroom so they were formally charged, their arraignment was even on the local news.

Turns out it was all bullshit, but that is some life ending shit.

My daughter that is having issues is 5. But we have known pretty much from jump street that she had problems. Little differences between her and other kids. Little delays in development, a pretty serious speech delay, difference in how she interacts with other kids, super high speed hyperactivity and anxiety all the time, etc. I have a 3 year old as well with significant speech problems, but she is different. My wife is worried about her following this same path but I'm really not. Dude, going to a Children's Hospital would wreck me. Like, I kind of vent here because I don't have a whole lot of people to talk about this stuff with, and it is serious of course, but not on the same level as those kids.

Noodle, I really think (hope) that the school took it for what it is, just a kid saying some crazy shit. We explained that maybe she could have gotten that because feminine hygiene has been such a focus in our house lately. We had to take my oldest daughter to the Dr for vaginal irritation, which turned out to be due to poor hygiene, which led to the most awkward week of my life as every single day centered around the vaginas of my daughters and how they were taking care of them, I made my wife do all that shit, i am fucking out. If it isn't that or some just random thing then i can't even imagine where it would come from.

If they don't put her on medication you could probably sue for malpractice. You can mitigate ADHD a bit with stuff like that, but ultimately it's a chemical imbalance in the brain that needs chemical correction to help manage. I mean your daughter's behavior absolutely blows my mind. I was undiagnosed for both ADHD and Autism and while I was a bit of a problem child, I didn't get my first suspension until 6th grade and it was for fighting another student. Your daughter sounds almost like she needs an exorcism more than she needs ADHD meds.

I mean you've definitely got a rough road ahead of you, and it will probably get worse before it gets better. It will get better though, so keep the faith, one day at a time, platitude_03 not found, etc.

Yeah, she goes to school and she is ok for a little bit, then something sets her off and it spirals into her just fucking losing it and nothing the administrators do seems to help defuse the situation. At home she follows a similar pattern, but we are able to defuse it most of the time. She's a sweet kid, super affectionate, loves spending time with us. But outside of the family? I don't know how she really feels about people. Sometimes it seems like people outside of us are just bullshit to her.

I have friends who had similar issues, and they home schooled for one year. It wasn't super. They they put the kid in a Montessori school and magic. The fewer restrictions and self direction seem to do the trick for the little shit. He was getting sent home daily, but is a different kid now.

ah, i see it now. i've been following along but not 100%. hm.

there are other home school options besides having a parent do the teaching, though. but IDK how affordable they are.

Yeah I don't think my wife would do well with home school and I know my daughter doesn't do well with it. I don't know, it may become necessary. I hope not.
