We were prescribed the zantac too but stopped using it, he eats his ass off so I guess I'm not too worried. Just turned 6 months and began the shit sleeping phase. I've tried keeping him awake and feeding the shit out of him at around 7, but he's only making it till about 3 before he wakes up wanting more, more more!!!!

Speaking of naps, if you ask my friend's daughter if she wants to take a nap, she'll say 'otay' and scramble up the stairs and hop in bed. It amazes me and every parent I share that story with. I imagine she'll stop being so agreeable when she gets into her twos.

My youngest was like that for a long time, athe about 2.5 years it changed and now she hates napping. These goddamn kids don't know how good they have it.

We're pretty strict with my 2 1/2 year olds daily nap. He doesn't nap past 3pm (bedtime is 8). We'll usually put him down around 12:30 or 1, if he screws around for more than half an hour or 45 minutes and doesn't want to sleep, then we just skip the nap for the day. Basically, we don't start a nap past about 2pm, and don't let his nap go longer than 3pm.

But I'd say 90% of the time, he sleeps from 1pm to 2:30 or 3. He gets a solid 90-120 minutes probably 5 or 6 days a week. He still likes his naps, luckily.

But we also have a very, very consistent routine. Grandma comes to our house to babysit him M-F while we work, so he's not having to deal with the chaos of daycare, or differing schedules on different days, etc.

My kid just hit the one year sleep regression phase. Last night was up at 3 but thankfully went back to sleep pretty quickly. The night before, it was an hour before he went back to sleep. He thinks its fun to throw all pacifiers out of his crib and say uh-oh but then he cries when they're all gone.

like Joeboo, we have a pretty consistent sleep routine at least for night time. Its 7pm and he's in bed and that's worked pretty good since he was about 5 months old. Typically will sleep from 7pm to 6am. His napping was never that great until he started crawling and wearing himself out. He's still on 2 naps a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, totals around 3 hours of naps. I think he's getting to the point where he will go down to 1 nap a day. There are some days when he just doesn't want to go down for a nap and the grandma's that watch him baby him too much.

Oh god a 6pm nap? Fuuuuuuuuuuck that. Kid just took a good 2 hour nap which is really long for him. So far so good. *all appendages crossed*

So diapers. We've been using 7th Gen diapers because they're pretty cheap. Well he's been pissing so much lately that he's completely saturating these things before we change him and they're leaking. We definitely need to try some different ones.

edit: Wow I just realized I didn't hit refresh when I posted my nap comment and didn't see any of the replies before this one. lol

So one of the kids is always awake. We feed them within a 45 minute window of each other, and they seem to take turns on who is going to stay awake until the next feeding. I've slept about 3 hours a day since Saturday.

On the bright side they are all healthy and eating like crazy. They are at 38 weeks gestational today and are all over 6 pounds.

We've been using Huggies or Pampers since he was born, whatever brand makes Swaddlers. He pisses A LOT during the night and we haven't had any leaks.

He's crawling now.. well.. dragging his body around. He can move quick for a guy that only uses his arms. I am scared shitless.

Our guy does the exact same. He moves surprisingly fast and he always beelines it for shit he shouldn't even if it's across the damn room. We've got more baby proofing to do.

Anyone that is still in the diaper-buying phase of child raising should definitely download the Slickdeals.com mobile app to their phone. You can set up key word alerts, for "Diaper" for instance, and anytime a sale on diapers is posted it'll let you know.

Pretty much every time we've bought diapers over the past 2 years has been during some sort of sale/promotion, often at Target where you'll get a deal like buying a large box of Huggies at normal price($45 or whatever) but you get a $20 Target Gift Card with it. Do that a few times and you're basically doing buy 2 get 1 free on diapers, which is awesome.

There's a LOT of diaper sales randomly out there at Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc, but it's exhausting trying to keep track of them yourself. Use the Slickdeals app, its awesome.

We used pamper swaddlers until about 10 months and now we've switched to pampers cruisers. We tried the target brand but my wife didn't like those because she thought they didn't absorb well enough.

X2 on the slickdeals thing. I have alerts set for diaper and formula. Have gotten quite a few for 50% off or more. Amazon likes to have a 50% off code for pampers every couple of months, sadly can only use it once per main prime account.

Mine are also starting to piss through their diapers. We change them every 2.5-3 hours, and the things are completely saturated. Just moved up from premie to newborn, hopefully that adds a bit more absorption. Using pampers swadlers, but we have a few different brands of newborn to try

Speaking of formula if you use Enfamil they have a 25% off coupon on Amazon if you have Prime/Mom... ENFAMIL25.

That looks like a fairly typical bath. Honestly, it's not too hard. Little babies don't need to be scrubbed down and such too much. Even my son who is almost 4 now plays rough outside and getsnastyand still a shower with water alone cleans most of it off. At that age they have either super soft peach fuzz or no body hair at all and as such theres not much for the dirt to cling to. Water washes the bulk away. Light scrubs, and such take care of the rest.

tbh what scared ME most about my daughter is gross, but a real legit issue. Explosive diapers where the poo goes in the other place. How do you clean that, etc etc. Thankfully, my wife ended up being the expert on that and her (or her mother) handles all diaper changes for my daughter.

washing baby hair without getting soap in their eyes/mouth is so difficult. for some reason kids don't have the instinct to shut their eyes/mouth when soap gets in them. instead they open them both wide up and scream.
