This is gonna sound silly maybe but Noodlebro when your little guy is fussing have you tried gently rubbing his ears? I know it sounds stupid but we took a quicky baby massage class and we got to the ears massage and our guy was just all over the place. Started rubbing his ear (either one) and he calmed his shit with the quickness.
I then tried during a nap when he was fussy and he calmed almost immediately and then not long after he passed out.
If you're at the end of your wits it's something you could give a shot.

I use my thumb and gently rub the ear. My guy mostly reacts to the upper part of his ear or I'll put my thumb right at the ear hole and rub the center part and that also works pretty good too. Lobe is hit or miss but the other two areas work better generally for him.

Baby finally isn't sick and the craziness of the holidays are over so we give cry it out another chance. Had read up a little more on it and was gonna start at a minute before coming in and calming her down.
I get her all calmed down, put her in bed, even sit down for a while, she's probably not asleep but isn't tossing or turning. I'm like cool, good to go, I walk out of the room and start my phone stop watch...
Baby girl vomits in 20 seconds. I feel entirely convinced it's at this point on command because she knows it gets her attention that she wants. But what 1 year old can vomit on command? Ugh...

My first and third ones did this. I don't really know what to say. We had to go in and clean up the vomit which screws up the whole situation. If the kids figure this out and can do it, then leaving them alone just isn't going to work.

Thats actually cute. My kids would wear sweatpants flip flops and whatever t-shirt they could reach the easiest for the rest of their lives if we didn't dress them.This is what happens when you let your 2 year old dress themselves when you go out to eat
