So with another season next year do they just ignore the little "Three Years Later" part? I mean, it's in the future so it's not like they have to do anything special besides having the department stay there.
Also Jon Hamm is a huge comedy nerd who is friends with tons of folks in that clique. He and Paul Rudd were apparently best friends and roommates years ago. And if you haven't seenThe Greatest Event in Television Historywith him and Adam Scott, you should. I believe it was the 2nd one they did.

It's great how self aware Hamm is of his own celebrity, and the nature of that celebrity. You sorta get the feeling that Hamm is just a cool guy for real. One of those cases (sometimes they seem rare) of someone who actuallydeservestheir hollywood success.

i think the showrunners expected this to be the final season, given the budget cutbacks they have had (i assume thats why rob lowe and anne left). However I guess NBC is in such deep shit they had to renew P&R, better shitty ratings that you know than a new show that has nobody watching (every new NBC show).
I read the writers are thinking about moving the show forward 3 years next season, basically putting it into the future. Could be amusing, either with a Hillary 2016 and dysfunctional govt or some whacky Republican winner like Paul Ryan or Sarah Palin, who want to eliminate Parks Dept and Leslie fighting a losing battle.
but yeah get rid of the stereotypical screaming gay dude, he is annoying as fuck. gay people should write to GayPride and QueerNation and AIDS and whatever else to demand he be fired for being an offensive character. He also does an annoying Youtube/Kimmel skit where he just acts like his character screaming at people on the street.

They weren't sure if they'd get another season from the start of this one so I guess they shot what could work as a series finale OR big season finale/shake up just in case.
And yeah, Billy Eichner's character is pretty awful. He just shrieks shit and it's really grating 95% of the time. His show Billy on the Street cracks me the fuck up though. Running around screaming pop culture trivia like a spaz at real people on the streets of NYC is a much better use of his talents. Though I bet if you were introduced to him through P&R it might not work for you.

Yeah I don' like that guy, I kept hoping he would just fade off the show or something or get killed by Jamm and they could both go away.
The 3 year jump thing is awesome, I think. If that had been the series finale, it would have totally worked, but this is even better because this is the only sitcom I watch so I'm down.

NBC has decided to double up episodes of the final season. It will premiereJanuary 13th and end February 24th. I guess NBC wants to dump this from their schedule as fast as possible.
