Damn man wish I could hit the lotto like that every once in a while.....hope at least one was usable for ya!

(They definitely did something right with this game because this is the first game since ER that has me thinking about it at work non-stop. I'm also going through pretty slow so maybe by the time I hit maps they will have budged a bit on the drop stance, doesn't sound like I'm missing too much currently.
Campaign has been a blast up to A3, even with the gigantic zones.)

Question about first trial. If I die do I just start over, or do I have to get another relic thingy?

The first and second trials you get infinite do-overs because the relic will still be in the slot allowing you to open it again.

The third and fourth ascendancy trials are one-shot, you die you lose the item and have to get another to drop. They drop from all mobs, you don't have to farm it from the same quest mob as the original ones.

The worst part is I had an orange item pop out of an urn so now im compulsively clicking / opening all of those.

I died after my second attempt, but as the boss died. Wonder if I broke it, how do I get more of these tokens otherwise? She's not offering me a token like she did after my first attempt.

Edit: ah, she's got a dialog option to get the token back. It was a quest marker call to action the first time.

Is it just me or is the support gem window confusing? It says you can engrave a support gem skill under a specific skill. But most of the time that gem can go right into other skills anyway.

It has a recommendation window based on skills, or you can just go to the all gem window

This was huge to learn for me, as some information I saw had supports socketed that I didn't think was available.

I'm not a fan of only being able to use a single support though...so if you have it slotted in one skill, you can't have an additional gem socketed on a different skill.

First impressions.. game is satisfying. Combat has weight to it. Wish the inventory system was a bit more polished and things were a bit cleaner. This is the type of combat that should've been in the Diablo series.

The gem windows are lying sacks of shit in general. If I search for something like all projectile skill gems it hands like half a dozen of them. Whenever I open the window it's all like "hello mercenary, which crossbow skill do you want" and I don't even have one equipped.

Was only lvl 4, had movement speed boots on a vendor in town. Didn't have the gold lol.

The gem windows is definitely a good example of the game trying to guide players through its own complexity. Poorly, at that. I played a lightning attack build through act 1, I didn't know Innervate existed.

I am just so bad. Keep dying (out of honor) at the end of the trial when he's at like 2%, and even managed to just fail on the timed crystal clicking because I got body blocked by some snakes.

What is the deal with ES on the hud? Is it not like PoE 1? I have more ES than life and my hud for health is one red circle and maybe one little bit alone the edge, not some really visible amount like it is in PoE 1 especially having that much.
