Nothing says engaging gameplay like staring at a minimap to try and find the small fog of war you might have missed looking for jamiroquais nogatorium or dumbledores tent of gayness tucked away in the corner of some retard sized jungle.

A retard who just started playing recently can get through a campaign and league start relatively quickly. That will not be the case here as others have said. Count Gooner alone will be extremely ball busting to the average retard. A boss like that is not present in POE, Diablo, or most ARPG. Hence the criticism.

I downloaded all new drivers and I have something wrong, seriously wrong. I watched some streams and even other players when new move much faster than I do. It's like molasses. 3070 Super and a AMD 3700X3D processor. With all stuff turned to low and capping fps to 60 the fps seems fine but I move like I said in molasses. Very hard to roll away from an attack. You hit roll and at some point in the future you may or may not roll.
I downloaded the new video driver on launch day. I realise PoE2 has more graphics going on but this is light years behind playing PoE1.

Well, I have just been exploring the hell out of maps, so I am 30 and about done with act 2. Tried trial at 25 and got my ass demolished by the final boss. Had some shitty -40% damage debuff on me. Got a new sceptre with like 4 diff auras including 40 damage, so I am going to go back and smash it before I finish out the act. Got a level 7 spirit gem too, so SRS bizness.

Did they ever give an explanation as to why they removed alts from crafting but kept everything else? Alts are the foundation of the entire process of building a piece of gear from a favored base. Put alts in and that fixes most of the problems with crafting.

If I had to guess their thinking, alts made trans/augs irrelevant but with no current way to scour mods, you're now forced to constantly look for bases. If they want us to use trans/augs they need some type of scour mechanic maybe using gold

The explanation they gave was they wanted to simplify crafting. Which they did.
I'm torn on this one. On the one hand it was nice finding the right base and being able to spam it while crafting. On the other hand spamming currency was boring and unengaging.

Yeah, but they did a great job with the spider animation. Those larger ones are creepy and a main reason I cannot let my wife play this game. She would slap at the monitor, throw the computer out, and set it on fire.

Really hope the currency increase helps me find some more artificer orbs. Really could use the resists while I pray for gear upgrades but last night I checked and people are charging 2 chaos for one orb and fuck that.

Are you salvaging items with sockets? Each socket gives one shard.
Also search the vendors each time for cheaper items that have sockets to salvage.

Crafted these 2 at lunch. Will regal the Blue later and see what happens.
Kinda high dex req but might be able to upgrade some gear with dex or take travel nodes for it. Scepter is nice but no Spirit bricks my build right now, will save it for later and probably exalt them both a few times if I ever get any currency.

I tried to get into PoE1 but never could get past the first act. Don't know why. In stead I found love in Grim Dawn and Titan Quest.
I'm thinking of giving this a go, but I do love me WoW style hunter builds (ranged with pet). Are there any good such builds for this game?

I went through act 1 again last night. While I mostly agree with complaints about tediousness and replayability, I will do something as long as I convince myself there is something to achieve(shocker!). So, with some of the knowledge picked up from previous playthroughs, I wanted to confirm if some non-PoE1 regulars tips were worthwhile. Because playing as a PoE1 regular, I just wasn't having a good time.
Behaviors I adjusted:
- Picked up ALL non-white items.
- Picked up white base if I was looking for an upgrade from said base.
- If a base represents a significant upgrade, use transmutes if white, aug if blue and existing affix is good, regal if existing affixes are good. Save exalts for weapons or buy off trade.
- This meant going to town more often than the story would require you to. Every trip to town, buy out socketed items and salvage them(this is where all my gold went). Also check vendors for weapon that match the crafting cycle of the previous point. Vendors refresh inventory upon killing a unique, so there was always a fresh inventory.
- Use artificer's orbs! It's a ton of damage to leave on the table. Unfortunately, this likely means going back to A1 town even in later acts just so you can ensure each weapon upgrade has 1-2 sockets.
My build was lightning arrow deadeye and the damage was solid throughout. It's quite an adjustment from PoE1 as filters and leveling are built around ground loot. PoE2 is slower in this regard, but I didn't mind last night. Maybe will be more annoying on repeat. I think a filter similar to PoE1 will help somewhat, but I don't know how the game itself gets players to check vendors for salvage fodder.

Keep in mind its normally a F2P game and they have a Gem tab for you to purchase.

I think Transmute + Aug is good now because the mod pool is small; they are gling to have to add Alts into the game some years in just because bases and mod pools are going to get out of control.

I really havent had much luck with socketed items dropping, but I admit I do forget to check the vendors. I did salvage some but still a few shards short of the next orb.
