Got a t5 helm to drop with 56% magic find / 132 life / and 30% cold resist......(2 total 28% rarity rolls).

Is this something I could sell as-is, or would it be worth exalt slamming to try and use it myself? Think I need a minimum of one more resist to make it on par with my current helmet for keeping resists overcapped.
Got 3 div as-is, maybe could have gotten more. Just wish I knew what the exalts would've done bc could have been a NICE rarity upgrade for me.

I haven't read the neversink thread yet but the thing so funny about MF is it's tuned perfectly for being on map and tower modifiers and for some reason they decided to add it to the item pool as well even though it would obviously break the whole system.

and i'd bet my left nut their just going to nuke the values of the overall modifier making it useless and gear and maps, vs just removing it from gear and letting you run a nice juiced map once in a while.

Personally, I don't touch overwolf stuff. Sidekick is what I'm currently using (the beta branch).

One thing I dislike about ARPG's is playing inventory manager, I am bad about hording too much shit until I am just like fuck this and trash can it all and start anew.
They want you to pick up tons of items and craft on them yet they make you play fucking tetris every map. Gay, outdated, cumbersome mechanic. But the fact they've built their pay model around it means we're probably forever fucked.

I think I'm about ready to bounce from this game. I haven't made it to endgame but nothing that has been posted here has made it sound appealing. Barebones atlas + runaway inflation. TBF, I've never really liked PoE's endgame either. Achievement hunting helps a lot.

Things I liked:
  • WASD as a movement scheme. Good job getting skills with 1s cast time to feel smooth. Nobody self-casts Hexblast in PoE1. But it clashes with potions and Q skill use. If I'm going to come back to this game, I'm hoping potions are temporary or can be rebound. No idea what to do with Q.
  • Definitely does look and sound nice. Kind of a downside though.
  • Bosses are mostly fun to learn. I've since done a deathless campaign run. However, this is not all positive since it seems this promotes dodge roll, which is mostly useless outside of bosses.
  • Pausing is great. Family still hasn't learned that just because I'm sitting at the computer means you walk in and start yapping immediately.
Things I disliked:
  • Doubling down on MF gear. This feels almost spiteful. There was a podcast about a year ago where Jonathan was responding to MF FOMO in PoE1. I think this is what prompted them removing quant from gear and arriving at a pretty good solution. And perhaps a pretty shit one at the same time in PoE2.
  • A passive tree that's weak relative to other sources of power(mainly gear, somewhat skill gems).
  • Mob speed does not match the combat they seem to be pushing with wasd, dodge roll, and lack of recovery. That people are complaining that PoE2 looks like PoE1 should be unsurprising.
  • Why does pressing U have a load screen?
  • Visual clarity is a real problem. It's always been a problem in PoE1, but that game lets you solve for it by offscreening and destroying corpses. Thank god my summoner has nothing to do after casting flame wall twice, because I can't see shit captain.
Shit I really disliked:
  • The overall player creativity in this game feel hampered. Almost every skill is designed to work with another skill. The supports are limited to one per build. The third party tools are shit(this isn't on GGG, but it kinda is). My absolute favorite part of PoE1 is get inspired by something(usually posted on reddit or youtube), tweak to my liking, kit it out, and have the game tell me how shit it is. PoE2 has some of that, but to a far less degree. I already feel like the bottom of the barrel is being scraped in terms of whacky ideas.
  • Recovery is restricted to an almost punitive degree. I'm a stand in fire dumbass, I highly value recovery. You can only leech: physical attacks as life and mana, spells as life(if bloodmage). And sometimes that first one won't work because your build converts most/all of your phys to some element. There is one unique ring with significant life/mana on hit. Stacking regen doesn't seem to be an option. I don't want to rely on potions for obvious reasons.
  • Crafting is bad and unreliable. It's clear Jonathan has not played the game in a while with that comment about slamming exalts while leveling. Or, worse, is disingenuous. I *REALLY* don't want to participate in the current economy but crafting, even while leveling, makes it almost mandatory. The lack of third party tools makes this even worse. I rarely ever crafted in PoE1 because third party tools made trading trustworthy and easy.
Some of these I'm sure they'll solve. Some they *have* to solve(MF...). But what's really frustrating is the amount of surface level issues or things they could have cribbed from existing games(one is their own game!). I don't see this being ready in a year.

tl;dr:
  • Update the Stormfire Unique Ring so the increased Burning Damage for each time you have Shocked a Non-Shocked Enemy Recently will be capped at 120%. To compensate, the base values of the damage increase will be raised to 8-12% increased Burning Damage. Existing items will be affected by this cap, but a Divine Orb will need to be used in order to update the increased Burning Damage values.
Can you think of how that ring was exploited to cause that change? The core functionality was in the game for almost 2 years before someone stumbled upon it. I don't see this kind of creativity being fostered in PoE2.

It's pretty much the same as in all the guild stuff we do.

Rule 1: Don't be a dick, that's pretty much it and all that ever needs to be.

If there are upgrades by all means grab them use them, and if it's a pretty good leveling item then yeah toss it back when you are done so someone else can do the same.

Likewise if there is something you need that isn't in there feel free to ask.

Right now it's an unorganized mess, I am gonna hop on discord in a bit this evening maybe someone can help me straighten it up. There is a lot of shit in there that probably needs to be dusted. There are a lot of multiple Uniques that don't fit in the tab that might be better off being traded for 1 Ex or some shit.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Overall the guild chat kinda blows in the game which is why I try and get more people to ask for things via discord when it comes to items, help, trials, whatever.

Happy Hunting.
I thought Rule 1 was no dog fuckers?

If I remember correctly it wasn't discovered fully until the warden replaced raider ascendency?

i'm sure some one posted a guide like 100 pages ago, but i just got to mapping and i wasn't sure of advice/break down. I had heard that ++waystones was good. I keep hearing that rarity on gear is dope. is it good to get it on the atlast to alleviate the strain?

ultimately i'm wanting to do more breach and delerium. (or at least i did on the old game). prefer more pack size to feed the hexblast. tho if it's a better idea to go another way i'd love to hear it.
