Well my take away from what Jonathon said was that either they tried to pull off more than they could handle, or they knew and they just lied. Maybe Tencent told them this is the way it is or something, don't know. Someone asked earlier if you could know how much a PoE 1 league brought in money wise. Doubt they would eve share that publicly. I'm sure someone, somewhere looked at how much was coming in and estimated how much they would get in the future and how many wouldn't cross over. Maybe.

You can come out and say whatever someone wants you to say and act like that was the semi plan all along, if someone that pays you is pulling the strings. It's not just GGG, but GGG under Tencent. Only they will know the details between them.

We just have to buckle down and get PoE2 in to early access!

Jonathan explains the chain of decisions that got us here and I get it but holy fuck man. You've decided to gamble the health of your proven, dependable product for what was going to just be a new campaign and updates that all fed in to the exact same endgame before ballooning in scope. Then the balloon started ballooning.

Going to be a lot of these videos in the next few days as people go about collecting all of the shit they said before and compare it to the shit they are saying now

PoE2 endgame isn't fun yet for me. Kinda shocked they wouldn't have saved up and leagues for PoE1 to drop and keep people busy with during EA. Seems really poor planning.

You know how your stash is full of essences you don't use, delirium things and useless expedition currency?

Imagine there's 30 types of that stuff instead of 6, they drop way less often and getting it on maps is expensive.

Now imagine how long the currency exchange for all that crap is.

So... for any other people who are playing PoE2 and have never played PoE1 everything Chris just said is patently false and... I'm wondering if he's in medical danger.

PoE1 lets you specifically target whatever type of end game content you like, lets you choose what layouts you want to run, lets you set up your atlas to guarantee the content you want to farm is always in it, drops WAY MORE of the ACTUALLY VERY USEFUL versions of those currencies to either sell or use yourself, and has much smaller, more concise layouts so you can log in, get a good farming session done, and log out with much less hassle or time necessary.

Did they ever mention a future fix for the rare case that you brick your atlas and have to start over?

Some weapons and ascendecies still missing in PoE 2 right? I know it's early access.

Why even pretend dude?
Yea its pretty hard to get shit like deli on all your maps, you simply path over to it on your atlas tree and you can get 100% chance real quick. Works for everything: breach, ritual, harvest, delve, etc.

Or if you dont want to do that you can drop / buy a scarab that will do the same thing for like 1 chaos (exalt in poe2)

Didn't know you could get 100% chance, that's kind of my point, there's so much going on it's hard to know what even exists.

I am able to get as much as I want in PoE 2 with my stash tab full of precursor tablets, it's also fairly very obvious how to upgrade the mechanic with the boss skill points.

And yeah... stash full of talismans, harvest seeds, transfigured gems, oils, obsure boss fragments, scarbs, tatoos and all the stuff PoE 2 has. Best is all the hesit maps and the green ones I'm not sure you can even drop, then heist equipment also.

Would be better if it was limited to a handful every league.

I can see how people are angry when they are experts in all of this shit because they play every league.

Is rory still at GGG and in charge?

Yes its pretty hard to know the atlas tree exists since you get a point for completing every map up to 136 or w/e the cap is now.

Who could have unearthed this elusive and hard to figure out feature that points are given to you immediately after finishing the campaign and not after "Finish 10 Tier 1 Maps"

Talismans are not in the game anymore
Harvest seeds do not exist, harvest jice exists and has its own stash are on the currency tab. You can do everything from your hideout now since you dont setup the garden (so hard & and i know you dont know that)
Transfigured gems come from Lab, they fit neatly into the gem tab and are an issue because why?
Oils have a tab and are the same as Distilled Ire, etc. (was that hard to figure out in PoE2?)
There are more obscure boss frags in PoE2
Scarabs are easy to use, easy to read and easy to sell and easy to stor ein a tab
tattoo's? Really? Oh no I got some from a ship i guess im paralyzed in frustration

This sounds like a low IQ issue to me more then anything. Yes the new player experience in PoE 2 much better and that mostly because of the new skill gem system. The rest of the experience is worse sorry.

Its EA bro as the game has been in development for 6 years.
