Im in the UK queue but I suspect it's a trap. They said there will be a patch when servers come up.

Even last night at 2am there were 20k viewers on twitch for PoE2, I wonder how many of the streamers have never played POE ever.

I signed up last night for thirty big ones. How dare they treat me like this. To Reddit!

I don't expect to actually get an unbroken stretch of mostly stable game play until Monday or Tuesday.

I do, generally. This is EA not alpha. I understand the initial launch queues and server issues getting worked out, but if they can't get most people to play then that's a failure.

The last league that really didn't work was Ultimatum and I was there for that. Since then everything's basically worked each and every league. GGG's track record is good. They're putting holy shit levels of effort in to this and have made additional tough but necessary choices to push back dates and even delay the next PoE1 league for two or three months. If anyone can have a smooth beta it's them. I've just seen enough shit launches in games over the years that it's my default assumption - this shit is going to be a mess.

That I'm a beaten dog is great for GGG though. They're primed to exceed my low expectations.

But the regular drops needing to be identified seems like an extra step that just isn't necessary anymore except as some sort of arbitrary time/resource sink. Get a bunch of unidentified items, take them back to an NPC just to click a button and have them identified. What did you just accomplish that couldn't have been the same by showing the item stats when it dropped?
