It is clear this game was made by people who liked Dark Souls but either didn't understand the design or were unable to transition it into their game correctly.
I just beat the Praetor fight after about 7 attempts as 2-hand melee, and it is completely stupid. The only reason I could do it was because I luckily specced into Shockwave Totem which allowed me to have a way to attack at range. Without that, there are exactly zero opportunities for a single two-handed strike in the entire fight. As someone who has beat every Soulsborne game released by FromSoft, it is completely obvious that you have to code in downtime for your bosses to allow for player damage equal to the slowest attack type available.
GGG is just complete shit at melee. After all of PoE1 and now this shit, I just can't conceive of a way they fix it.
