They changed it like 3 leagues ago. Your spectres are added to the possible corpse spawns of desecrate. Together with the recent change of raise spectres to make it independent of zone level, it was way less of a pita to keep them up.

Na, they changed 2 leagues ago(when necro were super buffed) to scale off the spectre gem level which was the nice QoL, but desecrate has been pulling your spectres since Harbinger league, specifically Version 3.0.2b which was over 2 years ago.

I don't know about Sirius though, could have been bugged for that fight. I'd assume if it was bugged though it's been fixed since, so they probably don't need to fix it again.

"Sirius" should be a temporary thread ban.

Why? Everyone knows who he is talking about and no one gives enough of a shit about the story to care if you add an extra letter.

BRO, I DON'T KNOW WHAT FIGHT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, WHERE IS THE SIRIUS FIGHT IN POE??

In fact, now i'm going to start intentionally spelling fantasy/sci-fi names wrong because they are made up and no one gives a shit.

Now POE takes place in Orath. Or maybe Oiriath.

Uh looked it up and apparently his name isn't Sirius. It wasn't a typo as much as I thought it was actually that. Considering the whole "cosmic" theme of the fight I assumed it was on purpose too.

You could always do that? Unless you were using a spectre that had weird properties so you couldn't desecrate the corpses, like the bone cage monsters and stuff like that. Slave drivers... might have been like that? I never used them. But Solar Guards for example could be raised wherever as long as you entered the zone with them, been that way for a while. Same for gorillas.

In addition to this, all monsters that can be used as spectres can now also have corpses spawned using Desecrate once you have a spectre of them. Monster corpses that were previously impossible to spawn with Desecrate still can’t be spawned unless you have a spectre of them (or entered the current area with a spectre of them), so you'll have to first find those monsters in the wild. Corpses that despawn shortly after death will still do so (unless created by Desecrate), as it's vital for performance in many cases. So you'll have to be quick off the mark with your spectre raising!
yeah, heres the text in this manifesto. As you note, desecrate ALREADY would add your current spectres to the spawn list. so what does this mean exactly?

I "Think" this is saying desecrate now keeps a history.
Like, previously you could lose your spectres. Say you were fighting izaro, and he kills your spectres, then kills you. Well, now back in your hideout, you no longer have spectres, so when you try desecrate, it won't pull up the previous spectre corpses.
I think this is saying, now you will. once you spectre something, it will permanently be added to the desecrate spawn list. (Which seems like it might get cluttered... wonder if they are adding a means to clear it, short of buying a new gem.)

No, what it means is some monsters did not get added to desecrate. That was because of technical issues, rather than desecrate overall mechanics.

For example on live right now, if you go and grab those skeletal cage mobs from Dried Lakes(also tower in act6 or whenever that is, Knitted Hrror is the base name), then bring them to another area, they will not appear in the desecrate list. This is only specific monsters and had something to do with some weird mechanics in the background that took them forever to fix apparently. I used them for a bit cause I was trying ranged phys builds and they're one of the few ranged phys monsters that don't completely suck(they still mostly suck though). This made it really bad to use before the other recent desecrate/spectre change, since the only way to use these at high lvl before was finding them specifically in a map, as you couldn't raise them to a high lvl otherwise since you couldn't use desecrate to spawn them.

Now it seems they've resolved the issue and every monster you raise will appear in the desecrate list when you move them around, instead of having a few weird exceptions that didn't.

And your example is wrong btw, currently if you go back to your hideout after dying, you can rez your spectres assuming your hideout didn't reset and you entered it with the spectres. Once they're "on the list", they'll stay until the hideout resets. This is especially obvious if you do some trading with necros, as their spectres will also be added, leading to pain in the asses if you're trying to get your spectres back. The list is zone based, and gets resets if you reset the area.

Can someone explain the point of ‘Mirrored’ items? I read about it, I just don’t understand why. And apparently Mirrors of Kalandra or whatever are high end trading currency?

Mirrored items are just copies of other items. They cant be crafted on/changed at all sort of like vaaled/corrupted items except you can't even change sockets like you can with corrupted items at the crafting table. So of the ones you pick up 99.9999% of the time they're trash.

That said, If you have a mirror of kalandra and pay someone to copy their crazy good one in a million item they spent 300ex making then i'm sure you can see that even though it's still expensive it's still probably cheaper than trying to craft your own.

An exalted orb adds 1 random modifier to an item.

Rare/yellow items can have 6(sometimes more) random modifiers. Depending on the item, this might take 1,000 exalted orbs to get exactly what you wanted. After you spend 7 hours making this perfectly exact max rolled item, you either use it or sell it. Instead of just selling it once, you can sell it multiple times with a mirror! Mo money for making it rain on some exiles.

Mirriors are very very very very very very very x300 rare! If you get one you can copy that dudes knife that he spent 7 hours on or sell it for 125 bucks!

Other two guys gave you pieces of it.

But to add more..
mirrored items are in game dupes. it allows copying of a rare/magic item to have 2 or more of it.

"mirrored" items come from several sources. The most common is from a strongbox mod that gives "mirrored" items. these are just going to be vendor trash, because its mirroring random garbage. it rolls a rare drop, then mirrors it. This is generally why new players ask this question. They get these mirrored items, and ask wtf the point is.

A point of a Mirror of Kalandra is to craft a high end item. then mirror it to sell, as noted.
Mirrored items can't have their mods further modified.

And mirrors of kalandra are insanely rare. as in, been playing since closed beta, never seen one drop.

Only thing you really need to know about mirrored items is 2 of the same item vendored give a chance orb. Useful recipe to know on the 1st day of mapping to get orbs to buy maps from zana.

$126 seems pretty fucking low considering I have played thousands of hours over 7+ years and never seen a single one.

The value is derived of their actual price for exalts, you can buy mirrors from other people and there's enough ppl playing that mirrors do drop every now and then. Mirrors are expensive but they're not ungodly so, you can technically "farm" them with div cards, and most people who get them don't actually use them to mirror stuff but just to trade, so they don't disapear out of the economy as much. I assume exalts are like 3 or 4 $ or so, so 125$ still kinda makes sense in that regard. Edit: checking a random currency site, exalts are half a $, shit's really not worth much.

Yea, exalts are like chaos orbs these days. I heard once that a mirror div card drops in the HOTGM chests, I've never actually cleared it more than twice myself to check tho. Usually I was just paying someone for the completion.
