They said they changed the "relative drop weightings of their unique rewards and making them more likely to drop eldrich currency" so omni is probably more expensive now.
Don't know if this league is going to be a hit or miss. Weird they're not nerfing anything.

Well I didn't get a chance to play my Poison Concoction build past early maps, so maybe I will give it another go.
My issue is that I am terribad at min/maxing in general, but even moreso in a build that is not str based. In early maps and even in low level Heist that char was pretty damn squishy.
Also, when I realized a large portion of the dps was tied to active potions, the build lost a little of the appeal. So perhaps with next week's league I will look into setting up some potion button macro.

This Atlas Passive tree looks amazing. They literally took the best thing about the previous league and made it better.
All in all this was a great reveal. More difficult content to scale, more customizable content to do what you want. And a combat league that looks like it won't require constant upkeep (you can hoard then craft unlike arch nemesis which required a bit too much upkeep imo) and can have great potential for rewards.
I also like the no major balance change aspect, its more incremental which keeps the feel a bit more steady. It's a bit weird as balance always changes between core of POE but this looks better.
And if they've made Omniscience a tier 0 item, or maybe a tier .5 item, I think that's good while keeping its balance? Maybe not HH rare but Replica FF or something rare would be balanced.
Also adding new chase uniques, new build defining uniques. They actually do listen to the community it seems.

Edit - Yeah I had already done that with my crit staff cyclone build with all his utility flasks, I didn't sink any real resources into the Poison Concoction build.

You d9nt even need when hit as pathfinder. You can do increased duration and reduced charges used, get the thing that refills after use or once full and have fun saving thise wrists.
I might try to play on controller this league once I get to Uber strictness filter. And with a steam deck? I could lounge in the pool and play POE. Too bad I don't have a deck.

No balance changes seriously? I mean it's nice that Ben can continue playing DD etc. but some skills really could use some love to make them interesting (again).

I had a few builds I wanted to try last league and just had other shit come up so I didn't bother. Lost Ark also fucked the trade market for odd pieces for niche builds. Had 5 characters last league, but one was level 30ish so it doesn't count. At least I can try them out now. A few of them I KNOW will work, I just didn't have it in me to get them going but now I can.
Going to be hilarious watching everyone spec their Atlas the same way Grimroe or whoever says and just destroy that market for the same thing everyone is farming (Essences, Scarabs) while the weirdos like me are going to accidentally make bank selling weird shit like Catalysts and Temple vials.
It's interesting that they hit on the "two" types of builds with this expac. The zoomer builds can now pick tropical island and density load them and blast through that map, and only that map, to their hearts content. The shit clearers with omega dps can now do Uber carries for sick loot. It's actually a pretty good balance, but who knows what the fuck Ronnie Reddit will say. He'll probably be pissed his 2.5khp Herald of Thunder autobomber can't do Uber Sirus or some stupid shit and then force GGG to have to respond to such retardation.

Really liking the preview of what's going into this league. League mechanic looks complicated but maybe interesting? Who knows. I think it's kind of nice they're not making a lot of 'balance changes' for this one. Part of the daunting aspect of POE is that you're constantly having to process 50-100 pages of patch notes and associated changes into your planning and playing. For the longtime people with thousands of hours into the game, this is part of the fun but for everyone else I'd bet it's more annoyance than fun.
I mean, changing things up sometimes is obviously good for the game, but it doesn't have to be every patch. Every other patch or every third one would be enough IMO.
That said, no new skills or supports is kind of disappointing.
Everything else though? 9/10. The new gem for allocating points around keystones looks especially promising. Looking forward to Mathil and other streamers going up against the new Uber bosses for lulz too.
