I was going to write an AHK macro that would hit Call of Steel for me(1-2 skills aren't bad in theory, GGG just seems to base theirs in bad QoL). My intent was to train AHK on the color of enough pixels to know when you run out of shards. Call of Steel looks different when you have no shards.

I think I uncovered a bug that will make my macro much more difficult to program. But it's also an interesting commentary on how unpopular these skills are as I don't see how this hasn't existed since the inception of the skill.

Splitting Steel, which to be fair has only been sniffing the meta's asshole since 3.21, will consume your last shard but then not split. Shattering and Lancing Steel do not act this way. My guess is that the shards checks on the latter two occur immediately since it effects how many projectiles are fired. Projectile behaviors, like splitting, is likely done lazily(to borrow a programming term). So you activate, consume shard, and then when it hits something or reaches 4.5 meters, it checks if you have shards and can split.

Cyclone build or is it even worth it?

Just fucking around in pob some you could play anything and have basically infinite damage, so I'm probably gonna try and do something dumb with sunder and scale as much AOE as I possibly can to just hit the entire screen at once.

Okay since the D4 Blizzcon panel and campfire was meh isn’t GGG supposed to showcase or discuss PoE2 one day this month? If so when cause I’m really looking forward for more info on PoE2.

I'd be surprised if they had anything new and/or substantial for PoE2 since ExileCon. But, that said, I don't really pay attention to shit like this.

Well that Krangle event sucks. Was interesting really early but trying to flesh out a decent build is annoying. I made it to 50 and into Act 6 and started suffering from a lack of defense and life and bailed. I could have geared around it but couldn't be bothered.

I am sans kid from Friday to Sunday so I am going to try and take a good push into the next event.

I got a lazy Saturday ahead of me, see how far I can get. Only did to act 3 last night. I can barely remember what to do with Sentinel lol. I must have quit early that league.

It was the first league that ArchNemesis replaced the old rare system so if you were a normie/semi-casual player you quit because every rare either killed you or took (literally) 5 minutes to kill.

Got a tier 11 tainted tile at level 68 in Kalandra's Lake. You KNOW I Sentinel blasted that shit. Went from 72.16 to 74.89 in one tile. Felt good. Dying to later Kalandra tiles and losing half a level felt less good. Already one Divine so far though.

0 Recombinators and I'm 83ish and almost into yellow maps. I do forget if they had a higher ilvl like 68 or something though so we'll see.

How’s the one blast expedition node with sentinel doing? That should be some nice logbook drops

No shitty league mechanic. No tattoos. No locks. For now?

I never could find a way to enjoy the league mechanic, so not really going to miss that.

Seems a bit weird they couldn't at the very least remove the ridiculous tattoos and slap a limit on the imbalanced ones. A couple hours of work? The build flexibility will be missed.

What builds were enabled by tattoos? Corrupting cry is dead without cooldown tattoos. Pathfinder won't be quite as ridiculous, but still likely the tankiest endgame ascendancy.

Locks? Don't care.

The league mechanic scaling as high as it did while also expecting you to start from zero on each character was an odd rock/hard place to give players. It could be really, really frustrating to interact with as well. Alright, I'm definitely hitting these dudes and they're just going to never stop channeling I guess? What am I doing wrong? Trying to do it on normal builds doing normal things felt like a waste of time. Over the course of the league I went to 2000 and what I learned was that Void Sphere was better than basically anything I was doing. I never made a cheese character just for it but if there was ever a league to do such a thing it was this one.

Having replica dragonfang go core is so awesome. Surprised it didn’t seem to put much downward pressure on ashes prices tho. I wonder if those dragonfang prices are gonna shoot up next league. There’s just so many damn drop types and most are shitty, would be such ass if it was ultra rare

That was an item created by a race winner, it was already core. Its rarity shouldn't change because it wasn't dropping from the league mechanic. They could adjust it separately though.

Ashes and Replica Dragonfang don't really compete. Reservation efficiency isn't that rare. And skill gem levels is common enough that soft capping(level 30) is easy enough. It's the skill gem quality that is hard to get. Which Ashes gives lots of and Replica Dragonfang gives none.

Replica Dragonfang for meta spell skills was already expensive. ~10D for a Hexblast version.
