Thank you! People come and go with each patch lol.Transferred the guild to harfle. Keep in mind I started this guild when very few people on RR were playing so it wasn't a serious endeavor for me or anyone. Nobody else wanted to start a guild so I did. All of the stash tabs up to this point I paid for myself.
I'd love to play Beyond but no way would I do it in a hardcore mode. I'm far to reckless and experimental for that. Much props to everyone who braves it as it is. Beyond + Rampage would be a lot of fun though. Or Rampage plus an endless mapI'm done for now. Beyond isn't that fun with the portal mobs basically shitting all over the flow of the game.
So weapon elemental damage mods boost the lightning damage that gets converted from LA or the converted damage from auras? I wasn't sure if it worked like that or if it just boosted the actual base elemental damages on weapons and from jewelry/armor mods that give flat ele damage.Burning arrow is probably the best single target bow skill if you have heavy elemental mods. Lightning arrow is a great AoE skill for elemental. For both though, you still want high physical damage as well, because the damage they both do is based on physical first, which then converts to elemental. Another factor is leech is based only on the physical portion, and unless you go blood magic or something, you need to sustain the high mana costs of attacking 3-7 times per second with a 4-6 linked lightning arrow while ~88% of your mana pool is eaten up on reserved auras.
It depends on a few things. There's far, far more scaling for physical in the passive tree vs elemental. You can get to something like +450% physical bow damage by level ~65 or so as a ranger. On the other hand, if you get something like a thicket bow with innate attack speed bonus rolled onto it, flat elemental damage becomes very, very strong, especially at lower gear levels, because weapon elemental damage is an easy to get mod on multiple gear slots (weapon, quiver, belt, I think rings too?).If that's the case, is there any reason at all to use a tri-ele bow instead of a phys bow?
yeah.Weapon elemental boosts all elemental damage your weapon deals, no matter the source. To give a simplified example:
100 base physical damage attack, 30% cold from hatred aura, 20% fire from added fire support, 50 flat lightning from bow/jewelry
Rank 1 lightning arrow would deal after conversions:
50 physical, 30 cold, 20 fire, 100 lightning = total damage dealt: 200
Add weapon elemental support (rank 1), and it now deals:
50 physical, 42 cold, 28 fire, 140 lightning = total damage dealt: 260

Looks ok. Summoners are fairly easy to build (Start as witch and beeline for summon nodes. Make a circuit around the tree.) The only real decision is do you go ES or Life? Easier to go ES with all the ES nodes lying around the witch area but then you need decent ES gear to make it work. I personally hate ES because I never seem to have enough ES to not eventually die a lot when I try it but others will swear by it.Started a summoner on Rampage, havent played in a year or so. Usingthissummoner guide. Anyone know if its good? Also could use a guild invite @Skrigg, thanks.
Thats exactly right, chaos innoc or shavs is needed and then anti freeze. Dream fragments and Auxium are usually what you use for the no freeze.Running ES is more complicated than that. Chaos damage penetrates ES; a low life high ES build will get wrecked by any chaos damage mobs, it's just a matter of time. Think of Spinesnap in the sewers. One way to mitigate this is taking the Chaos Innoculation keystone, but this opens up more issues. Your vulnerability to status effects is determined by life. 1 life high chaos immune ES still means you're extremely vulnerable to being frozen/stun locked. There are uniques to help with that, too... But they have otherwise shitty stats so that means the other pieces of gear you have need to be really strong.
I haven't actually played an ES build so others feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
