Path of Exile

Thanks for the invite and the handouts yesterday! I'm up to 48 now in rampage and expect to get 60+ tonight, hopefully I can start mapping soon. SRS is just too much fun, and playing glass cannon with no resists/life is ... interesting. Again, if anyone wants help or some handouts on beyond let me know. Ingame I'm either on MolochV or Maiaaw, depending on what league I'm playing.


On the topic of Abaxoth, I saw a video of him a couple of weeks ago where it took them like 20 minutes to kill him. Basically I think he has combined abilities of all the other 4 beyond champions. As it could be a long fight, I think either a chracter that has potion regs on crits or just really good sustain is a wise choice here

I talked to a couple of friends last night who downed him and basically its a timed weave if melee or kite as ranged. Time to finish my ranger this weekend and die to him =p

Looking to do some wheeling and dealing on Beyond if anyone has some gear stashed that they don't have immediate plans for. I basically have zero currency since I constantly try to craft my own gear rather than trading(I think I have a whopping 3 chaos at the moment, and no exalts)

Wings of Entropy - Path of Exile Wikiweapon
Stone of Lazhwar - Path of Exile Wikiamulet
Belly of the Beast - Path of Exile Wikibreastplate
Rainbowstride - Path of Exile Wikiboots
Meginord's Girdle - Path of Exile Wikibelt

I know Belly of the Beast and Rainbowstrides are worth a decent amount, so I'm not holding my breath on those(and a lot of people keep them and use them)

Notable uniques that I possess and am willing to trade:
Lightning Coil - Path of Exile Wikibreastplate (considering using this instead of a Belly of the Beast, not sure how they compare in value for a trade)
Kaom's Primacy - Path of Exile Wiki2her
Eye of Chayula - Path of Exile Wikiamulet

Obviously not expecting to be able to get everything on my list, but if I can even scrouge up 1 or 2 things in exchange for what I have, that'll be progress.

I have a belly that I'm not going to use for anything anyway. Yell at me if you see me online.

Any opinions on BoB vs Lightning Coil for a physical damage block/dual wield build? I'd love to try out the lightning coil, but I just don't have the gear to deal with that negative lightning resist. Between the 35% lightning resist on my current BP, and taking a -60 hit from the Coil, it drops me down to like 5% resist, lol. Even a purity of lightning aura isn't going to get me back close to a decent resist level. It seems like a damn nice piece for defense, mitigating that much physical damage, but you need some pretty damn nice gear to deal with it.


I'm also trying to figure out a sweet spot for block %. I'm currently at 58% block while dual-wielding, which makes me pretty damn tanky, but 10% of that is from a weapon that is getting a little outdated at this point. I'm at around 9500 DPS on that setup, but I can upgrade that weapon to get me to almost 12,000DPS, but I lose 10% block in doing so. Not sure if 20% more DPS is worth the 10% block loss(the Wings of Entropy I listed above would also give me 10% block back + the higher DPS, more than likely)

I seem to be doing fine damage as-is, so I'm inclined to not take any defensive hits, as you don't do any damage if you're dead...but holy crap does stuff die fast on Merciless at 12K DPS. Tore through Vaal in about 12-15 seconds, she only stayed alive long enough to summon 1 group of adds.

Hah, nevermind on the items, just died @ lvl 67. Blech

I put in some 5Ls and good uniques into Ramp tab. I have a lot more if anyone needs just post it up or message me.

Nevermind I got one. Anyone have lots of Fusing? Will trade for Chaos 2:1 on Rampage.
