These two posts being next to each other is funny and conflicting. Is it generally true that builds can generally change their skillcap by investing in life/survivability vs damage?
yes. Gear can potentially outpace skill, etc. You can totally throw gear at any problem and complete any content. Koams chest bow builds. 300+dps daggers make shit dps builds totally viable.
900+es chests/shields. in 2.6, the same build might have 8000ES, and 200k dps with average gear, but will have 12000ES+, and 1million dps with godly gear.
The slayer sunder/cyclone passive tree from mathil.
182% inc life. Mkopec is not wrong. that is generally considered quite low.
I tend to make my own builds, so can't say I had noticed that trend with Mathil previously. but his story checks out. haha. I tend to get by with inc life %'s around there. but, I also know what I am doing. and tend to back up hp values with strong defensive mechanics, such as pathfinder, AA, enfeeble, flasks.
My charged dash raider plan is aiming for 220-230%.
lifting pimped alkaizers sunder glad for 3.0 league starter.
Quick looking, this build seems more along my tastes as well.
Pastebin for that. 224% max life.
