Maybe slightly unless they spam it with no mobs to leech on. Nugi for example is who I looked at and he's not using VP and has really high regen because of his hp's being so high. That stacking with leech he's using would make it seem like its doing almost nothing. With the version im messing around on I see my hp's drop but my cast speed is scaled as high as possible so its easy to chunk yourself.

View Profile - Path of Exile - nugiyenHe's scaling pure crit instead of chaos damage and crit so he can use added cold damage for the shatters. IMO its kind of odd because the version im tweaking with Trickster shatters as well with Herald of Ice and I run arctic armor as well for another layer of defense.

not really. volley is basically gmp/lmp with a differant, scaling pattern.
Ancestral call, is "supports single target melee attack skills, causing them to attack multiple targets simultaneously."
Notice, it does not say, "multiple targets, near target" Can it attack in 3 different directions at once? Think frostblades and its 21+ range.
Now, how would that work with ranged attacks? would be pretty crazy. The skill icon is very clearly almost identical. But, yes, there must be something different enough about ranged attacks, to justify its own separate gem.
Was thinking about it, while out for a run.
I'm placing bet on "Ancestral nova" fires ranged attacks in a nova.

I didn't or don't use either of those, used a Tabula until level 88 while I 6L'd a carcass jack which took like 1700 fusings in 10d mayhem. The only unique I would use but didn't buy is the harbinger belt for the buff, that thing is op.

6 weeks ago I didn't know jack about PoE. Finished some tier 14 maps this morning. Guess I got all I wanted to accomplish done, even tho I really didn't set out to accomplish anything.
Typical tho. Haven't died in 2 levels. Dinged and died about 5 minutes later thankfully.
Now to find a build for the upcoming league. I tried a trickster ED/MoM, it was great clearing maps. But I didn't care for the single target/boss on it. Probably just me.
And oh yeah, wish they would come out with a map tab. At least sort them tier or something.

Nah I hear ya on ED. I like the build but hate it for single targetting. I mean you can kill shaper or whatever with it but bleh, it feels like shit for that stuff.

It sucks even for single target in any way you chop it up imo. I have an unlimited budget and tried it low life with a +1 shavs, 21 ED, level 4 empower etc and it felt very weak on Shaper. Elemental BF feels like 5x the damage of it.

Lowly old me. No MTX other than the free pair of eyes, which you can't see. Hatred, Arctic Armor, and Herald of Ash. I run at 0 mana all the time since I have no use for it. Still no free hat tho
Still kind of funny to be on fire, have fire on my boots, and leave ice everywhere I go on the ground. New math lol.

The gameplay in the trailer for the new content looks really nice. Wish I could get into this game, maybe after a few hundred hours in Grim Dawn I'll give it another shot. Diablo certainly isn't doing anything to hold my attention anymore.

I think he was confusing you mentioning arctic armor ice trails, with ice damage shatters.

Yeah sorry, yeah I leave ice trails with arctic armor which is just funny looking with Herald of Ash and my boots which look like they are on fire. Nothing other than visual stuff.
I'd play this build again next league since it's extremely low "maintenance" so to speak, face tank and flask and no mana flask needed and such. But VP changes so guess not.
I want to get more into maybe crafting, but I watch some streams and the streamer will pick up everything or near everything then ID it and see how high/low it's rolled. I can't imagine doing that for so much stuff.
