Yeah I was reading that thread(or the other) and thinking about it, it's gonna be a pain in the ass as summoner unless the beasts have insane hp. This is like vorici retarded missions, sure you can net them first but shit dies offscreen pretty often with certain builds so it's gonna be annoying to do as a mechanic. I assume most people will just ignore it at higher levels cause it won't be worth going slower to capture shit, unless you have a bitch boy trapping stuff in front of you. Not that I care much about this type of optimization but that seems a bit meh.

More on shield throw. it says the shield is a proj that can not pierce.
It does not say it can not fork or chain.

The aoe looked really small in the vid. Proj speed is going to be important I think to make the aoe spread more.
Also, where can we get free fork or chain?
Deadeye atm is the obviously. Attacks, and proj. +1 proj, and +1 chain. It might get a major rework though, so lets see there. if massively buffed, deadeye might be THE shield throw ascendancy.
I already mentioned doryanis fist being potentially totally broken with an ES crit shield.
However, FREE CHAIN.
Touch of anguish, ewars and Mjolner.

Mjolner would be pretty baller. inc lit damage, and procing lit spells.
ToA giving chance to freeze, frenzy charges. might pair well with ranger nodes.
Ewars gives big inc elem damage, which will go with ele buzzsaw versions well. ewars with faster attack, and auras for elem buzzsaw.

have to see if it will proc on every chain, or not.

I'm thinking if it can't pierce, it can't fork or chain either. Not sure if that's how it'll work though but iirc chain and fork are coded like sub variation of pierce when it comes to projectiles(chain has its own separate tag for certain skills but the functionality there is skill specific).

I really think it will chain for max captain america action. fork would be weird. procing on every hit does seem super unlikely, so the explosion will probably only be on consume.

The degen on berserker seems a bit harsh. Up to 20%/s is pretty much your regular leech cap. I hate playing with blood rage without some life regen to counter it at all times, that's going to really annoying.

Fuck yeah pokemon league!

One thing to note about the berserker ascendancy is that pain reaver is attack damage only now, so no more caster berserkers. Huge nerf, but makes a ton of sense thematically. The rage mechanic looks fun, and chieftan looks BONKERS!

Isn't it 10% degen at 50 rage? 0.2 x 50, or are you talking about something else? That 10% gets covered pretty easily just from the life regen picked up while grabbing all the life nodes and whatnot on the left side of the tree.

Exactly, you have people killing shaper in seconds, unless this crap has like 10x the HP, the cost to spawn him is insane and he needs to you to never trade for maps ever, he's going to explode in the first week.

I'm seriously scared of how annoying the capture mechanic is going to be. Right now for the best chance it apparently needs to be on low life, which will be annoying as fuck. Yeah, you can in theory throw the net at full HP and annihilate it anyway, but are you really going to chance it if it's something rares ?

Bex did confirm it does NOT count with unarmed. Doryanis will not work.

so yeah, deadeye, ewars, mjolner, or touch of anguish go!

Deadeye+ewars or mjolner is looking best to me. (although toa+winter spirit/hatred as well...)

Proj speed should be pretty strong. the shield is pretty slow. and the secondary projs do not go very far. proj speed should increase their range dramatically.

Ewars heavy inc elemental weapon damage, should make a pretty heavy buzzsaw. an es crit shield, with aura nodes, for as much added elem, as you can get. Mjoler with arc of course.

ToA would be VERY similar to frostblades. almost exactly the same even. Super similar mechanic. except no melee hit. just pure proj. Build it exactly as you would frostblades, but with pure proj scaling. And hrimburn or something for more conversion.

here is bex saying it only shatters at the END of the proj. which seems to directly contradict what we are seeing in that video..
Anyone got an idea if Shield Throw works with Chain/Fork • r/pathofexile

Goddamn...addicted to MHW now and hopefully I can kick it in a couple of weeks to get sucked right back in to this addiction. Also the music in the trailer was f'ing awesome.

Yeah going from MHW right back to POE again heh. PoE is like a new WoW for me, the only game I come back to multiple times a year.
