Yea I might have just missed the reflect mod. Repetition and monotony of checking mods can definitely breed mistakes. I wish they would let third party alter affixes so that you could have different colors for different affixes. Sort of how loot filters work.

Bought an ex for 116 chaos today. looks like price bottomed at 102 and is climbing again. Or it may drop again again who knows

I have the same problem with physical reflect btw. No idea why, pob shows me doing a fairly trivial amount of phys.

Do you use bisco's leash? I've wondered if the rampage mods from that can kill us. Mainly the explosions as explosions are mainly phys. But since it comes from an item I figured it was cast by the item therefore wouldn't affect us. Wish this game had a combat log, or at least a death log.

I do use Bisco's but Rampage was the mechanic of an entire league so I really doubt it reflects. I still have no idea how ~2% of my total LA damage can be significant enough to kill me with reflect, but it's definitely risky to enter incursions or do Beyond on those maps.

Not sure why they felt the need to add a garbage room, spirits sounds terrible and a good way to rip for basically no reason, other than possibly finishing that one challenge, but you could do that rather easily by spamming possessed foe on a warband map.

Boxes one sound good, but adding 2 rooms means less chances to finish the devices challenge, so it's overall not so great.

It's funny that some of the objectives for that require as much work as some of the shit for the Endgame grind challenge, due to how RNG heavy it is. Gem one is especially retarded, it shouldn't require 3 different outcomes when it's a pain to get the room in the first place and the outcomes aren't even guaranteed, 3/6 are a fail. Should have been like use the Lapidary Lens and get 2 out of level change, vaal change or quality change 3times(or 5times or whatever).

7 ghosts. haha. nice.

I hope this is evidence of Incursion being the replacement for map device mods.
Old leagues will be accessible via the Temple.

Yeah that's what i meant, just saying that when all you want is massive quantity it is pointless to spend chaos or scour+alch on rerolling. You're never getting that except on ones that dump everything it had pre-vaal anyway. Just separate the ones you can't do so that if they go unid you know to foist them off on someone else. Ones you can do that go unid you save until you're desperate for sustain.

It sounds like youre doing it the way I do maps. I know 99-100 is 400ish maps so I prerolled them all in a stash tab and search for reflect. I think a lot of people make the mistake of using sextants, chisels etc too early which in the end doesnt matter unless you're pushing 100. This is what I do below and beyond ALL maps.

1-96, alch and rip (no reflect)
97 - Chisel, run 1-2 sextants dont reroll (no reflects)
98 - Chisel, 4+ sextant rerolling slipstreams or stationary dmg etc (no reflect, no -max res.)
99 - Chisel, 4+ sextant, 3 frags (no reflect, -max res, no 2 elements of dmg at once)

100 finally done, it wasnt as bad as I thought with the density in UGS. I maintained 45m xp/hr at 98-99 and maintained 36m-39m xp/hr at 99. This is by far the highest amount of XP I have ever gotten grinding and the most per hour. More than doing 100 in legacy league with broken items and 8 sextant shores.

So you didn't vaal and you were only rerolling for danger reasons? Was it just grouping that let you sustain doing it like that? Even ping-ponging shaper/elder on my last character I couldn't hope to sustain shaped U.Sea without chiseling the maps and rerolling the ones with trash-tier quantity and pack size (or just vaal-and-pray, which I prefer when I'm not on an ele reflect streak).

Also, I've never really made a serious attempt at 100, so I'm curious why you base map prep off character level. I've always done it based on the tier of the map; I chisel reds and I save sextants for the map(s) I base my atlas around. Chisels are just quality, so they only affect your iiq/sustain and should be independent of xp.

Vaal'ing is expensive at 4c / 4 vaal per beyond map, its cheaper for me to reroll bad alchs.

XP is scaled in PoE so you want to stay within 15 levels of the map for optimal XP and want to ensure you are one shotting at full speed. There is absolutely no reason when XPing to be running red maps like T16's at level 97 or lower when doing for XP. Its much better XP to run T14's for example at 97 or T13's at 96 and so on.

Atlas is shaped so I control and force my lower level shapeds to drop until I redo the Atlas as I level. I dont have any problems sustaining ever because up until t16 I force my atlas to drop the shaped map I want. At T16 I go all in with sextants, chisels, and frags because thats the sustain thats harder. There is no T17+ maps to leave un completed and force the T16 to drop. I dont group also my last levels, one death from someones lag would make me wig out.

No secret I'm the slowest player in POE. It takes me the same amount of time to clear a T8 map as a T13 map, chiseled and vaaled - no difference lol. Blade vortex get it going, whirling blades and hit flask, blade vortex again when it drops low depending on how close the packs are, repeat. The only time I get below 100% health is bad roll T14 or T15 maps, lvl 89 now. I guess I could substitute a quicksilver for the lower tier maps for the mana flask which doubles as a life flask.

Although just ran Carcass T14 map and just did whirling blades fast as I could and blade vortex and never flasked any of them, taste of hate, promise and sulphur flask without any issues and no adding any time.
T12 and up maps I'll skip the boss depending on the roll and the map.

Never look at the xp/hour deal. Just looked and it said 87m. I assume it only counts time actually in maps. Probably incrediably low.

Well if you do 100k dps, 2% of that is 2000 dps.

Ah, right, I forgot about the added cost of Zana mods when running corrupted maps. I think I'll switch over to doing that too, since I've had such bad luck with vaals rolling ele reflect/no leech. My only issue with Beyond is that some of the mobs are pretty tanky (high ele resists?) and it can slow me down. Boss deaths are a bit of a risk too.

At what point do you do the -15 level thing? Like, say, if I'm 88 on my Windripper and I'd really like to hit 91 asap to get my last jewel. Would you be hanging back at T6 for 24.1% xp even that early, or is something like a easy shaped T10 (Haunted Mansion) at 53.9% better? I'm guessing the latter, since I clear all the rooms in Haunted Mansion while running through them at full speed. Unfortunately my atlas isn't setup to drop them exclusively so sustaining it is a problem even in full MF gear.

I hand the physical reflect to my elementalist that can do them. Elemental reflect the elementalist and Champion are screwed. I guess I should have made characters that could do one of each.

Yeah, that's probably it. I'm not used to playing a character made out of tissue paper, and I'm not mitigating that phys reflect at all, just hoping to evade it. With only 3750 life at the moment, it probably doesn't take many evade fails to overpower my leech/loh. I'm doing a lot more than 100k dps to trash too.

My previous two builds this season had ~9k ES and were nearly unkillable aside from ele reflect and running lab while drunk. Phys reflect was never an issue because the HoWA build was like 0.1%-of-total phys, 20% phys reduction, 25% evasion, and had 75% block most of the time. So I never really considered it before now.

even more. 100k vs ONE Target, 2% is 2000dps. 100k vs 10 targets... 2% is 20,000dps And thus, instant death.

Leech is typically a factor. As well as, defenses.
Evade builds tend to be light on armor, and might instantly kill themselves often. Especially if they run "hits can't be evaded" for obvious reasons.
Leech is not instant of course, reflect IS. a big reason vaal pact was so popular/needed.
