Oh man you guys seem to be havin decent runs this league. My 1st floor bathroom flooded my 1st floor and basement. So Ibe been rather Mia past few weeks

Finally got enough xoph splinters for a stone tonight, ran him and got the amulet. Now I can buy a 6link loreweave and only be about 4ex worth of fusings in the hole on it!

I was going to switch to this: Forum - Witch - [3.4] Teleports Behind You - Poet's Pen Lightning Warp & Arc, MF / Facetank t16 / Shaper / U. Elder - Path of Exile
My main is already a 95 elementalist, and I have most of the gear for it. Do you think this would get the job done? I think it would but again, I'm not a PP player in the past, so I'm still not totally sure what to expect

So I fucking love Delves. I usually loathe any type of escort quests in any game, but this shit is fun. So I started to go horizontally (level 60 monsters, I forget the Delve level..maybe 80ish?) but man you can almost print money. I'd say not counting selling fossils/resonators (I actually did sell a 4 slot one for 1 ex) I'm averaging between 30-50 C raw currency per hour not to mention the drops. For me as a scrub, this is insane and I love it and I hope they make this a core mechanic in the game. I'm not even playing a "Delve Runner", just playing an Arc Trapper with 30% speed boots and a Quicksilver flask. I bet more optimized players can yield much more. The thing that is great is with 18K Sulphite and it only costing 23-25 per node you can literally play for hours before needing to refill.

It's a decent build, the main progenitor to PP and Inpulsa, but it's a bit weak on defenses for my tastes. Got myself another shaper set today and redeemed myself and got a deathless kill (first time ever, I always have at least 1 stupid death). Next up is working on getting some sets for uber elder attempts!

Okay gentlemen. I'm off WoW and want to do some POE again. This time, though, I want to stop being bad and actually understand what the fuck is going on. Hell, maybe even play some hardcore. I know from watching streaming that the biggest part of HC is building defenses first and slowly extending yourself as you get more powerful. Where do I go to learn how to do this in a generic way that can be applied to any character?

Cool. I'll probably do that next league. I've leveled up 3 things this league, and don't feel like doing story again. The conversion is mostly done.

TBH, this league is probably one of the worst, in my opinion, to do hard core. But thats just me lol

I'd definitely get some high end content under your built before rolling HC to understand the level of damage that you'll need and what will probably kill you, but this is a great league for HC play -- Delve makes it extremely easy to level up additional characters, and there's tons of OP builds.

Got my 36/40. Not a huge fan of this league. The base game is still great but, par for the course, GGG has the coolest content locked behind RNG and low spawn rates. I hate RNG challenges too. I never found Kurgal and I made it to depth 350. I didn't feel like going much deeper because I saw it as only increasing the danger with little to no reward. I only found like half a dozen of the special Delve nodes too. That sucks.
This is also from a HC player's perspective. I don't like being forced into a tight hallway and swarmed with mobs that have dangerous on death effects. That's lame and it forces a meta of shatter builds. I also didn't like the special Delve areas - where you go underground and have to maintain a light to get the chests. They were great loot pinatas but the fact that extremely dangerous mobs could just spawn on you and one shot is very bad design. I know that this game isn't balanced around HC but having a mob one shot you with no warning isn't fun. There are numerous HC death highlights that you can watch to see what I'm saying (see Nugi/Raiz rip.) That was probably my biggest turn off this league (oh and I lost one character to the DD Exile one shot.)
Legacy league is still, by far, my favourite league. I'm hoping the Masters revamp will incorporate Legacy league mechanics somehow.

fyi for future leagues, cause you'll probably love the playstyle, the occultist version is better defensively and has a higher offensive cap with indigon (gets expensive obviously)

Expensive is fine, I can make money - the defensive on this certainly sucks ass though, I cant really get hit once without being destroyed. Yet, the guy has a video basically facetanking mino without a HH lol. So I dunno.
A lot of these videos seem so misleading to me sometimes. The playstyle is a lot of fun though. Much more fun than unearth/bodyswap.

Deathwing
is very right that it's survivability is a little low but damn it is absolutely a blast to just melt entire screens with it by just holding down right click.

I agree. Though I find it gets stuck a lot. It's also hard to get used to ball lightning for bosses. But that's just learning the playstyle I think.
The worst is when you hit that weird bug where you turn into a lightning and can't do anything until you portal out to fix it.
