So I made a few changes with kimbles help, and centering it more around doing the emblems. I've been having an issue moving fast enough -- everything else is good, just movement is slugish.
I changed gloves to gloves with +2 melee range
And I also changed skill gems around and now use rage/berserk and took out damage when full life support. All things considered, seems to be working well...
Me and kimble did a 5 emblem and did pretty good considering. He killed a lot of the bosses, because I'm still not moving fast enough but I was able to kill a lot of rares, and we managed to score almost 4 full lines and made more than enough to cover the run. Still not a full 5, so either I suck at the game (most likely) or there's still some improvement that has to occur.
How so? I might be inclined to level up a berserker just to try it out. Unless it moves at warp speed though I’m not sure that it can beat out the aoe size. I’m running an adrenaline qs and a silver flask at all time, plus devotos and bronns, so I’ve got pretty good speed already. One single massive shrine should be enough to convince anyone that inc aoe is the holy grail. Far as I can tell every single half decent cyclone build has more than enough dps, like way more than enough.
Damn, my PoB import is maybe 1/4th of your damage, but I have significantly more life nodes in the tree. How do you find survivability overall around the 5k hp mark?
I have no idea how I'm supposed to hit 2 million sheet dps lol.
Thing is my DPS isn't the problem, its simply the movement speed from HH isn't enough. Once I'm moving, I can break 10 million dps. Well, I still enjoy the game so I'm gonna keep doing my thing, and still do occasional upgrades, just if I can get this movement speed handled, I should be golden. I might move boots around and put kaoms there, just to see how well it fares in an emblem fight.

This is what I would consider a budget berserker cyclone. Some of those items are near your 10c mark. Some exceptions:
Shaper ring, probably 1ex
6L Terminus Est, 3ex
Kaom's Heart, 3ex
Transcendant Flesh, 2ex(meh, just get the 10c alternative)
The gloves might be expensive, I haven't priced them out.
Lion's Roar, 50c
Anything under 1ex, I consider "budget". I make exception for 6L and special items like Kaom's Heart because that's half the point of going 2H weapons.
I worked around PoB's bug for Pride, OpenArl is treating it like an increase, not sure why. The wording clearly says "more". Also, eh doesn't simulate close combat at all. See the edits to Kaom's Heart for those. That's a HUGE amount of dps PoB won't do correctly by default.
The last caveat is that I leave Berserk checked. Obviously, you can't have that checked full time. But with a rage support and Berserker, you can actually get 11s of uptime per use, and 50% overall if you're just hammering it on cooldown. Considering a lot of bosses are phased, I think checking Berserk on Berserker is correct, but each user of PoB should make that decision for himself.

I can substitute Brutality(it's my only pure DPS support) with Inc AoE and get 90% of Slayer radius while still doing significantly more damage, more Berserk uptime, and 0.2s Leap Slam use time.
I'll fully admit, I haven't played around with Slayer and Cyclone yet. You are right that you don't need *that* much dps for most of the game. I intend on farming Eldered maps, not T2 white map bullshit. That means I want to dps to delete tanky rares at that level but also the survivability to take some hits. That's why I'm not considering devotos and bronns.

You just aren't opening the configuration and checking all the tickboxes to get the big sheet DPS homie. I imported your POB and if you go to configuration and check all the modifiers that apply like frenzy charges, rage, onslaught etc, and turn your flasks on in your items, you have like 2.5m sheet dps lol.
You also need a helm that has the "nearby enemies have -9% physical resist" or whatever, and a source of intimidate.
Only sources of intimidate comes from a leveling belt or a pair of gloves that conflicts with +2 radius.
Delve helm is not has high priority for phys because it's "increased physical damage taken", thus it diminishes with Flesh and Stone supported by Maim.
Lion's roar is a little less than 50c now. Bought one earlier today for I think 41. And as my normal experience finding a big difference in response time and response rate on the time of day I am on and trading. At night US time, kind of meh. Late late night US time, no response. Early morning US time it's not bad.
Those with a UK flag on their listings are the least likely to responsd in my experience.

Ah yea it's not an actual resist reduction I guess.
How does flesh and stone interact with having a maim link in your main skill? Does the 7th link maim from a chest override flesh and stone maim, or does it still count for the increased damage?

That’s sort of what I’m getting at though. Every decent cyclone build has that dps easily. The trade off mostly, to me anyway, is speed and aoe vs. survivability. I have more dps than I need to farm T16s , I did two minos last night and the fight was a three second joke. The legion on the way there all fall over as soon as I hit them, I just have to not play lazy and get tagged. I should probably roll up a berserker anyway and try it out. I’ve been getting that itch to start a new character with all the currency I’m not going to spend on the slayer.

Even I'm not willing to use inc aoe support so youve got me there. My pob is 1.1 million, I'm not going to even attempt to configure it though, I wouldn't know how. Enough dps I guess would be insta killing/phasing map bosses and I suppose sub 5 second shaper guardian kills. I should probably kill shaper and see how long it takes to phase him. Legion rares I've never had issues with kill speed. They've only gotten me from range or from out of their rogue stealth.
My main question though is how the slayer and berserker differ. If the berserker has crazy move speed enough to make it a better choice, enough to have lower aoe radius. I'm fairly sure they both have big dps.

Assuming Rite of Ruin for all Berserker builds. And the slayer belt. If you take Blitz, Berserker is *much* more attack speed, +20% move speed, more reasonable uptime of Berserk, and higher dps. If you use Inc AOE on the Berserker, their dps and AoE are close to equal while the Berserker maintains crazy attack speed and slight move speed advantages.
If you take Aspect of Carnage, Berserker trumps Slayer dps even more, but loses most of the attack speed advantage. I don't like AoC.
Honestly, it's the existence of Soul Tether and no real strong belt alternatives(fuck off HH) that makes this scenario kind of stupid. If Slayer or Scion was the only way to get Slayer leech, I'd probably be playing Slayer too.
