Especially for build that don't give a shit about the damage of Bane since I'm not expecting that to be competitive.Yeah this I agree with but if I understood correctly Deathwing was saying if you link Bane to Blasphemy, you'll be able to reserve 35%mana and blasphemy Bane itself into a permanent Bane aura that does a permanent dot AND applies all curses linked to it with the bonus damage, for just that reservation, which sounds more than unlikely. Bane isn't a Curse skill so it shouldn't be affected by Blasphemy and if it does, I assume it'll only apply curse when you actually cast it, not whenever anything enters the area. It should however probably work with linked curses even if they're also linked to Blasphemy, that part I agree with.
Regardless it does sound pretty strong, but it's also capped by the amount of curses you can actually apply. Granted, Doerdre's Skin ignores that, so if Bane applies Blasphemy curses fine, it'll definitely be pretty broken for that build, but obviously need to see the base values, if they balanced it with this in mind for damage, and for the rest it's more of a neat utility skill with some side damage, a way to apply 3 curses in one click for the standard Occultist for one less gem slot compared to curse on hit and with a hefty boost to duration so you don't have to bother recasting, while also getting a bit of damage out of it but you'd rely on another skill to actually kill stuff.
It's definitely a curse skill, it gets the curse tag.
