I always manage to be not at home launch weekend. At least I wont sit in the queue and can start Sunday evening. I will run Earthquake Jugger and watch my screen explode.

Assuming you don't need any of the bonuses from completion, is there a reason to complete all maps on your atlas? I'm considering skipping all shitty layout maps from the start since there are no cartographer's seals anymore.

I think ive killed every bandit for every build in the last 4 years. I recall going for the phys thing when warchief totems came out and thats it maybe.

I ALWAYS work with the witch. I fucking HATE the max resist balance game and if I can get a 15 point leg up I go with it.

Last league I did Alira while lvling, mp regen and resist makes it less annoying. I respeced around lvl 85 or whatever to +1 skill point. I haven't used Oak since they reworked it to not be life and I don't think I've ever sided with Kraityn. Don't think it's a big deal though.

I sometimes do Alira while levelling just to make things a bit easier and quite often she's the one I need for a build. Never done any of the others at all. In fact I don't even know what they give.

Really thinking its an ED build for me this league. (never done it before and this one looks like a good league for it). Arc trapper was my 2nd, but did that for Bestiary. What are yall going with?

Depends on the tree changes, Hoag jugg most likely as it's really tanky, cheap and a lot of fun to play. I can farm some currency on it before trying a wand build if they are going to be nuts.

I got suckered into starting burning arrow chieftan last league (bow league yay), not falling for any shiny new thing again cause that was just awful as a starter.

Pending patch notes ofcourse but going for some tried and true ED or miner or summoner for starters.

RaizQT (PoE streamer/job) loves ED/contagion or whatever and has a ton of videos about it. This is just one video out of hundreds. I dont like the play style but it sure as shit works and will net you some stuff for your next build.

I usually start with frost blades or bleed sunder, thats my go to shit. Maybe later at like lv65ish go with impale and spin to win for first character. All 3 dont need much at beginning. spin to win can be good with 2 cheap unique until later. Champ or slayer. But Then switch to 2h depending on moneys. But I have not palyed in many leagues, sooo...

Yea ED + contagion is pretty solid build and doesn't require an investment so great for starter build, too. I haven't played it since the league they added Bane but that made it super easy to get through the story where mob density and small aoe limits your ability to steamroll with contagion chains.

I played EQ to 90 now the last days and it worked well. 16 maps and these watchstone bosses were no problem. I had 3 ex weapon from a friend though, but even with a low budget weapon it worked well.
Meele is suprisingly fun. I stuck with minion builds the last leagues and bow builds before that.

I did the minion thing a few leagues back when the spectres were the hot thing, I got the boots that granted the extra spectre, and I had I think 3 of them and they were OP as hell for clearing. Those Solar guards or even the kitava dudes that put down those fire totem things both worked. Was def fun...Got that character to like 85 ish before it got old and rolled something else.

So am I reading all these atlas changes correct in that I can, prior to clearing 20 watchstones and spawning Sirus, just ignore the 3rd stage/boss encounter part of a conqueror, and said conqueror will just chain spawn over and over? Thus resulting in me having permanent influence of all the conquerors on my entire atlas? At the cost of Sirus obviously, but who gives a shit?

If you arnt farming awakener there is zero reason to complete the atlas.

Prior to clearing the first sirius spawn, cant remember if its 12, 16 or 20 watchstones since it changed midleague. Pending there arnt any changes in the patch notes (which just about everyone expects there will be), you can get permanent influence if you never progress the quest to Sirius, so never kill that last set of Guardians.
