Prior to clearing the first sirius spawn, cant remember if its 12, 16 or 20 watchstones since it changed midleague. Pending there arnt any changes in the patch notes (which just about everyone expects there will be), you can get permanent influence if you never progress the quest to Sirius, so never kill that last set of Guardians.

So I guess I need to remind myself - did you have to run different maps to spawn conquerors or could you spawn off running the same map over and over?

Regardless, next league I play, assuming this doesn’t get changed again, I plan to skip a few very specific maps. Necropolis. Fuck that place and Maze. I hate both.

With any luck those will be t16 and we can skip

I also am curious about using the new channel skill on totems. I enjoyed divine ire totems as a boss killer

I like the idea of a mana build.

I wonder where this will fall. I mean, heralds/auras kindof already did that. Just reserved vs consume. the guard skill steps on MoM's toes. Having damage AND defense draining mana, seems like a good way to die. so probably a pick one?

I have no idea what the state of Eldritch battery is, or how to make it work...


Whispering ice build for this? What levels of int are possible these days?

The mana supports seem like they fit the 'cast once and done' skills. BV, Brands, etc. Pack a couple Fevered Mind jewels, spend an unsustainable chunk of mana on your brand cast then never let it expire by moving it around with brand recall. Shouldnt get in the way of MoM very much.

I miss Whispering Ice. That was my first truly successful endgame build outside of totems in the way back machine. It got gutted during the first round of ES changes and I have not looked into it since.

Whispering Ice is a nice build but you need so much int to really make it feel great at endgame. Getting that much int can make it expensive.

I liked the build, it's fun but you can do something much better for the same cost or less. Plus it's dogshit for delve if you go fairly deep.

I'm probably going to roll Hardcore this league start to play with a friend who refuses to roll standard.

Skeleton build if it survives patch. Or maybe Bane if it doesn't.

Anyone have experience with these in HC?

Am i reading that correctly, that if, say, Sirus eats my spectres alive i can now reasonably respawn them using desecrate?

You could always do that? Unless you were using a spectre that had weird properties so you couldn't desecrate the corpses, like the bone cage monsters and stuff like that. Slave drivers... might have been like that? I never used them. But Solar Guards for example could be raised wherever as long as you entered the zone with them, been that way for a while. Same for gorillas.

Maybe there was a bug early. I definitely recall threads about being unable to resummon spectres against Sirus. And I couldn’t get slave drivers on my one wasted kill attempt.

I think that the 'entering zone with x spectre will let desecrate spawn it' is new. Been a long, long, looooooooooooong time since I played desecrate or spectres or any sort of summoner, tho, so maybe that has been a thing for a while and it was a bug with sirus.
